I have been using Godrej because I can get it locally and like it so far. I used the Deluxe and have been curious about the Menthol Mist. How does it compare to another popular Mentholated cream Like Proraso?
Ohhhhhhhhh, MUCH, MUCH colder-feeling than Proraso! (and much better in the scent and lather, and skincare!)
Ok now i'm definately going to give it a try. Thanks guys. p.s Having never used to the Menthol Stuff before what are the benefits of using it? Is it just the cool feeling for hot weather or does the cooling also help with razor burn?
The first little bit a menthol helps with reducing/treating irritation. Heavily mentholated products are all about the chill factor.
I have a question for you that use the menthol shaving soaps/creams - do you find it a skin irritant at all?
*GASPS* Absolutely not! Menthol has become an essential part of my ritual/routine. If I don't have at least one product with menthol during my shave, I honestly do not feel like the process was complete. I tend toward the extreme end of mentholated too and still no irritation. I have experienced discomfort from too much menthol but no irritation or damage, more like a very bad itch that you can't get rid of....kind has to wear out/off. But no rash or lasting disdain. Stay frigid my friends!:freezing
Like some of my frozen colleagues have said, I also have no trouble with the use of menthol, even in large doses. That said however, I have known some people that cannot stand even the slightest amount of menthol without irritating their skin.
I found MM to perform about like the other varieties of Godrej. That is to say they offer a decent, cheap shave w/ average scents. Kind of a synthetic aroma to them if you know what I mean. The lanolin helps them perform better than some other budget creams. As to the menthol like others have said, it's quite chilly. I'm out of all brands of Godrej currently, and will prob replace them down the road.
There are certain creams, Musgo Real, which I used this morning, for example, which suposedly have menthol, although the amount is so minimal that it really cannot be felt. On the other hand, TSD Iced Subzero soap or cream, as well as the mentholated Palmolive creams from Italy, Romania and Egypt, Ingram, and a Colombian cream called Denu are extremy potent.
