Actually these days, they're not all that much different, the HMW is slightly softer.

I've had my Semogue B&B LE Boar now for two weeks. I gave it a half dozen break-in lathers and have now used it a half dozen times. I only use it every other day to give it plenty of time to dry. This will help the end splitting process. It still has a long way to go. My experience with boars this dense is that it will take 6-8 weeks of every other day use to become really broken in. This one will be a winner given time. Have some patience and enjoy.

It seems to be breaking in quite well..

Truth told, I am thinking I am going to keep it. There wasn't much to read on the internet about breaking in the boar and most was short and to the point.. use it a lot. I didn't find anything about letting it dry until I was half way through the break-in thus far.

So, I may have extended the break-in time a bit, but it's coming along.

To break in my boars I used them every day; 24 hour dry time. They have broken in to make for a nice, soft shave and I've had no problems.

Yes.. indeed I will. Keep in mind my vocabulary and experience with this is still quite limited, so I'll do my best to verbalize what I feel..
