we will also accept the states of hi and ca to also comment upon the warm weather .....:taunt005 to the :anifrozen
Mississippi: 27 degrees when I woke this morning, with a scheduled high of around 40. Low tonight again around mid to upper 20s. Not as warm as usual but we get the occasional cold weather this time of year.
16 degrees, feels like -3, with about 15-18 inches of snow on the ground. We are in a wind chill advisory with the wind chills dropping into the -20s or -30s tonight
Just got a call from the wife, it's 29 degrees. If it's going to make it to 40, it's going to have to hussle. Weather channel and NOAA weather said the same 29 degrees.:anifrozen It's supposed to start raining tomorrow and continuing to rain with sleet on Friday.:sad029 OK enough of this crap.
Holy Jeeze Dale! Now THAT'S a snow drift! The local newspaper in Sand Springs, OK, reported pics on FB of a "snow drift" against someone's door ... it was like 12" high. Not even close! :happy102
Yeah thankfully that's not my house. A friend from Chicago sent that to me this morning. We have about 2 feet of snow on the ground, the plows left about 10 ft banks out front the house and everything is covered in close to half an inch of ice. It just super sloppy here and the weather people are predicting another shot of awesomeness on Saturday.
You gotta love the Florida weather until you have a category 5 monster hurricane barreling down on ya!!! Houston, TX Freeze Stats: 100 wrecks in about 4 hours. Complete Highways Systems closed for the day 1 baby born on the side of said freeway system when family wrecked their car on the way to the hospital. It's safe to say we don't handle the cold that well around these parts.
I lived in Atascocita, commuting into Houston, and driving trucks all day in the metroplex in the late 90's and into 2000. I will take hurricanes over the traffic on 610, 10, 59, and Beltway 8 any day.
heh.. Then you know we get the hurricanes, too. Hurricane Rita missing us by 200 miles + those same freeways = disaster on the freeways.
