razors I have 2 straight razors that my grandfather used. I remember watching him. I am now 64 and thought i would try it. Can't seem to get them to cut. I have a friend that sharpens surgical equipment and he says they are sharp enough. It must be the operator. I got a safety razor that is adjustable and it is working pretty good. My question is maybe i will buy a straight that has replaceable blades. Are they any good or not? Still i keep trying every shave with the old straights.
Lot's of opinions there. I've never tried the disposable blade str8s. Your question has been asked a lot. Take a look here (if you haven't already) and see what others have to say. Hang in there with the str8. You'll get it!
