Feb, 21 What a nice shave today! Merkur 23C/Wilkinson Sword #1 Vie-Long horsehair brush De Vergulde Hand soap Cold water splash It's something personal and about the feeling when you remember people who sent the certain stuff to you. Thank you, Jeff ! What a great soap! Every time I shave with De Vergulde Hand all goes nice and smooth! I even put off AS that days.
Sunday, February 20, 2011 Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime Razor: EJ Chatsworth Blade: NOS Gillette Bleue Extra Brush: Simfix Grosvenor LE Super Soap: Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet (tallow) A/S: Thayer's Lemon Witch Hazel, G.F. Trumper Marlborough Splash A great Sunday shave this morning! I recently acquired a few of the Gillette Bleue Extra blades and wanted to see how they would perform for me. They seem to be in a class similar to Iridium/Astra Superior/Treet DuraSharp, although maybe a bit less smooth than those blades. More shaves will better define my appraisal. The Penhaligon's soap is always a pleasure, and the Trumper Marlborough splash provided an excellent finish.
Sunday, February 20th Cream/Soap: C.O.Bigelow, Proraso Brush: Semogue 2010 LE Razor: Gillette 1964 Fatboy named Grorge Blade: Personna Red Splash: None Balm: EJ Sea Buckthorn Ah, back to my favorite blade! The last week of testing the Voskhod was a drag. That blade proved to be average at best. Reunited with a Personna and I am BBS!

Shave Of The Day - February 20th Hot Shower E.J. Badger Brush Feats of Clay Scuttle TSD Wheat Cream ~ Lime Scent + 3 drops M-Bomb Travalong Razor "Vertical" Derby Brand Blade - Day 1 Witch Hazel/Osage Rub Blend TSD A/S Spalsh ~ 2X Iced Lime :freezing :freezing :freezing A little tardy in posting my shave from yesterday.... The Travalong turned out to be a bit too aggressive for my liking, and resulted in several weepers, and some minor burn. The handle is at about a 45 degree angle to the head when assembled, and made it kind of tough to hold easily when going ATG on my left side. 3 blades.
