Thanks Greg, I did actually notice that, but I think either a) The handle that came with it wasn't the original one (eBay buy) or b) Even though it was the correct handle, somehow it was "broken." I swear, I tried every which way to get that thing on. I asked the stars, read the DaVinci Code, used the Fibonacci Numbers, Tarot, and even an abusive amount of elbow grease...I am either the dumbest person ever, or SOMETHING was wrong with that handle.

As far as the rest of it, it looks exactly like yours. All parts in working order. I'll keep working the blade I guess. Thanks again for you help Greg, it's nice to have someone who knows how to work these contraptions.

This would be a fantastic set-up for a Menthol Monday, because the Ginger's Garden Ice Mint soap is freezing cold and has a beautiful minty scent that fills the bathroom when you are lathering up and shaving. The lather is very rich and stable, and it's also very moisturizing. Needless to say, the Svoboda balsam is a jewel from Russia. Now, a few words to Irena, who is the producer of this great soap: Irena, ich bin auf Dir so stolz weil Du nicht nur bescheiden und eine wunderbare Frau bist, sind Deine Seifen fantastisch!

First time trying the Indian made Old Spice cream and I gotta say I love it! Great old time scent, and fantastic lather.

First try with a Gillette 7 O'Clock green, and I was highly impressed with it too, close, smooth and comfortable. I've tried the Gillette 7 O'Clock Yellows and Gillette 7 O'Clock Blacks, and my face never cared for either of them. Cutting through 2 days of growth, and my wife said it didn't even sound like there was a blade in the razor, and it felt that way too.

After fighting the Russian Shave Soap for the last couple of shaves, I'll call this one 5 blades!

Remember the John Pitts Restore?

After Mark was done and had moved on to other projects, I emailed him through his off-site email and asked what was to come of the Pitts. He said he was super proud of it and would be using it in his rotation. Through subsequent emails, I let him know just how enamored I was with the Pitts, and how much I desired to add it to my collection of artwork. Mark eventually agreed to not sell it to me, but to give it to me. I told him I could not accept such a beautiful gift for free and insisted to at the very least pay for the materials. The result is before you today!
