Hi everybody. Im completely new to the DE world after a few days lurking on this site I decided to sign up. i recently acquired a gillette k1 and cant wait to try it out after years of mach 3 and edge gel. Anyways hope to talk with all you about this new found obsession of mine.

Hello and welcome to the den.Mantic59 vids on you tube will help you alot. I would suggest you look at the store here and get some blade samplers and some samples of cream and rock and roll. If you dont already have a brush the VDH boar brush and VDH soap from walgreens is a great starter set. Also for what its worth, decent blades can be picked up there too. Matter of fact alot of the regulars have a puck of VDH in thier rotation. An old soup mug makes a great lather bowl. Its worked for me and I see now reason to change so far. Take it slow and dont apply pressure when shaving. It will take a week or so to get used to everything soon you will be looking foreward to shaving daily.
