Just scored this off the bay, everything I've read about these have been positive, and its a really nice looking razor IMO. Does anyone on here use a Waterville or have used one in the past ? Any feedback is appreciated http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...nb0LqPtBfoVGz2K59BVvpY%3D=&item=300533007291=
Razor looks ok..needs to be honed and polished..though the etching may come off if all the light rust is to be removed...(cross your fingers)
Waterville Cutlery Co. Waterville Conn., the company has a long history. But, most likely, this razor was made 1890-1913, when the owners were W.Summer Babcock and George J.Babcock.
I have several Waterville razors in my permanent collection and have honed a ton of them over the years. They are some of the best shavers out there. Enjoy, Lynn
The razor looks just terrific. I like the style and lines of it. Very sculptural. That'll clean up just fine without much fuss. I'd like to have one since I don't have one in my collection. I personally don' t know anything about them but give it a hone , a strop, and enjoy yourself. That's what I'd do given the chance! Very cool!
