Thur. night: Face: Superspeed w/Super Max Stainless Head: Tech w/Red Persona Knotty Erlenmeyer Palmolive Stick Alum TSD ADG Type It's been over a year since I've had more than a weeper. Nicked the crown of my head pretty good tonight. Apparently I had a bug bite or zit or something similar and just cut the thing flat. Just out of where I can see it in the mirror. Otherwise a good shave.

Friday - April 1 • '52 Gillette black-tip • Dorco st-301 (1) • Omega 10049 • KMF Key Lime • Pinaud Lime Sec First shave ever with a Dorco. It's hard to believe, 3+ years wet-shaving and never having used this blade before. I gotta say I'm impressed - smooth & sharp! Performed as well, if not better, as my Derby's. I'm now faced with the problem of recently having purchased 200 Derby's - do I go for the 100 pack of Dorco's??

Friday, April 01, 2011 Pre-shave Soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime Razor: EJ Chatsworth Blade: Treet Platinum Brush: Vulfix 2006 Pure Badger Cream: Portman Square "Collier Row" cream/soap A/S: Thayer's Lemon Witch Hazel, Taylor No. 74 Victorian Lime Splash Another excellent shave this morning--Portman Square again, but the Collier Row scent this time. It's good stuff, containing tallow, with a nice citrus scent. The brush I used is pretty floppy, but nevertheless worked up a fine lather very quickly. The Treet Platinum was on its maiden voyage with this shave, and was a tad rough in the chin area on the first pass. After that, it was smooth sailing. In my experience, the Treet Platinum needs a shave to "break in", whatever that may entail microscopically. I actually prefer the Treet DuraSharp, although both are good blades. I decided to continue the citrus theme with the lemon witch hazel and lime splash, and I was rewarded with a very refreshing finish.
