Greetings, gents, I have registered here, as this forum looks just like the shaving forum type I like and I sure hope to find many new fellowZ and friendZ here.I am a DE guy and I own a huge collections of creams to share, but I discovered my love for soaps too late, after spending a fortune on hundreds of creams I do not actually need :happy102 This is suitable for the joke forum, but it is no joke. And this is how I got my nickname.I am one of those guys who eats reviews and reads tons of pages about shaving for breakfast.I am a straight-in the face - guy and I always speak the truth. Most of the world famous creams and soaps, I do not like them, I hate them, I am no flamer or a spammer. The second reason I registered here is I have a rare skin, too, too sensitive for anything, maybe this is why I do not like creams.Although I am in love with some shaving creams from Bulgaria (Herbs of Bulgaria Lavender, the absolute king of the herbal creams worldwide, making English creams look like scented mayonnaise; Aspis, that freezes your face and beats all menthol creams on Earth; Viking, which is like french perfume, and many more) and Germany (the el-cheapo king, ELINA MED - green fresh; Florena cream, and others too) which shine in my hunreds of creams collection, I own dozens of soaps and I think I am going to give away all of the creams in a couple of months.I hope to receive many advices and to learn how to lather in a bowl, as I have quite hard water at home and I NEVER hit the right water-cream/soap ratio...Your forum looks so friendly and well organized, I am eager to join you !
Welcome to the Den... What type of brush are you using, boar, badger, etc...? For hard water, this is what I do... Synthetic brush, get the brush wet and then squeeze out the water. Whip over the soap until the lather forms peaks on the brush when you lift the brush. Boar brush, soak and just shake out a small amount of water (maybe 3-5 little shakes) and then whip over the soap.... Badger brush, soak the brush and squeeze out a lot of the water. Whip over the soap.... When I am in softer water I don't have to load so much soap...

Thank you all! Etoyok, I have tried all of the mentioned brush types and did exactly as you described.I cannot lather in the bowl with my pure padger, as the lather stays in the brush. And I always add very little water, and increase the quantity if needed.I thought my cream was bad so I bought EVERY single good cream I could find at that time. I sent some creams, aftershaves and blades that I considered awful, as a gift to a fellow US wetshaver and he was astonished with the quality of the unique stuff.I said to myself - WTF OMG, I then know nothing about shaving, I am registering to The Shave Den this instant

Thanks, but I`d rather give away items myself rather than receive anything. As I mentioned, I bought a huge amount of creams I will not use.Tried all of them once, and only then I figured there is something wrong-I do not like ANY cream.Stupid me...
