I'll just sorta let the pics speak for themselves... Just having some fun with a new Acrylic color and an old W&B 1911 ???? 2011
I love the blue scales and especially the way the end is shaped. However, I think you've ruined a very historical razor. Please note on the original scales, right by the wedge pin, there is the mark of Zorro! This is a most rare find :happy102
That acrylic is amazing. Really like the shape of the blade as well. Was that ground with the odd heel or was that from "wear & tear". Horn
I think somebody was intimidated by the old smile, and tried to straighten it... Then it went wonky on them.. I was just going to put the smile back in *see pic #3 And then I got carried away hehehe
Update !!! I guess I should update this thread, I finally got some time to put an edge on this one.. Went Chosera 1k for a solid bevel set, then the Henckels (aka Naniwa) 1-3-8 and finished on my Select Grade Coticule just like most Sheffield blades I do The edge was way better than I expected, very smooth, _BUT_ for the type of shaving I do, the heel just doesn't work for me... I need an Exact heel so I can trim in my beard, and this razor cannot have one... It would be a great shaver for somebody that is totally clean shaven since it handles so well... But it just doesn't work out for me Fun project though
