Just tried the musk version, and i must say i like it. Cant wait to try all the versions. Thanks to the members here for suggesting it.
I love the iced blue but I can't stand the musk. I think it has more to do with the fact that my boss uses it. (the one that is a jerk) Sometimes we use my van when we go do events and he insists on shaving while I am driving. (he shaves in his truck while driving as well) He rubs that electric razor over his face for about ten minutes then dumps on mass amounts of the musk. He makes fun of the way I shave and says it takes to long. I just keep telling him I spend the same amount of time as he does and my face does not look like a dried up prune. Plus no irritation and stubble patches not caught by the electric face mower. Anyway back on topic - the iced blue rocks - but I could never put the musk on my face.
When it comes to Musk, I'll stick to Jovan. I think that's the best in that family, even though I don't use it very much anymore.
Classic Ice Blue - A must have, especially for summer. Classic scent and nice cooling feel. I just wish the scent lasted longer. Musk - A nice light musk scent. The great thing about this is, it is an aftershave/cologne so the scent does last all day. A great product. Ice Sport - Meh. Smells like youth. They type of scent you'd expect to be used by a teenager new to shaving. Light and clean, mildly cooling. I used it at the gym, until it was gone. Don't think I'll be getting any more.
I used to be fan of AV until one morning I went to splash some on and I could just not tolerate the scent. I'm not sure what changed, but I just cant hang with any of the AV offerings. I still have a full glass bottle of the stuff sitting in a drawer. Maybe I will revisit it down the line.
I loves the classic AV blue, and the green Canadian Aqua Velva Original Sport has become another favorite of mine!
i have the musk and i don't know , maybe i had a bad batch ,, but mine smells like dirty armpit. I plan to trow it in the garbage soon.
I was with some buddies one day and we walked in to a CVS for some drinks for our pizza and I finally found me a glass musk bottle, so I bought it. I left it at one of my buddies house. Some girlies got to it the day he was bringing it to me at school and they had a whiff and said it was horrid. Today, my little brother, only 14, walked in with a little nick on his chin, smiling big as ever and looks at me and declares he's finally tried the DE I gave him months ago. He smelled distinctly of MWF to my congested nose and when I asked him what he was using, he told me AV musk. My dad's a AV Ice blue man. Me and my brother (now) are AV muskies. So glad this stuff exists.
AV Musk goes on heavy so I use a 1/2 splash which is still strong. W/in a few hours though it settles down nicely. For the rest of the day you smell mildly sweet and, well.....musky! Ice Sport is pretty decent too. I also used it in the gym after the shower. Has a nice, clean scent to it. Original blue is medicine for the face after a rough shave. Maybe not the best scent in the world but not disagreeable either. I'll always have a bottle in the cabinet.
Found a Canadian online Drugstore that sells the Green Velva....then I found out they wanted $14.95 for shipping:shocked003 none of my overseas orders even came close to that! I'll pass for now.... Just gotta remember to take a trip up north to B.C. one of these days.
There are some things I rotate from shave to shave, but one thing never changes – and that is Aqua Velva Musk!
I still have the glass bottled version of Musk, wish I would have held onto the glass version of the Classic too.
