    Howdy again Mark.

    Hi Hex,

I'm afraid we made the decision to discontinue that service.

We were being overwhelmed with guys wanting to produce their own ranges using our hand tied knots.

We do provide a custom handle filling service (Customer supplied handle filled with a Simpson knot).

Good to see you here, it's a nice vibe.

    Mark

Yeah, it is a nice vibe.

And that's mighty interesting about custom filling a handle.

Glad to see you hear, Mark. I'm still mulling over which Simpsons will be my first.

Well there's over seventy brushes in the 'standard' range to choose from!

I'm sure the guys here will point you in the right direction. Posting guidelines forbid me to recommend anything in particular.

I might just have to make a Wee Scot my next brush purchase just to see why it's so different.

Would you believe I've never used the WS myself? but am told it's an awesome performer for it's microscopic size & vastly under-rated ...

Good luck with which ever brush you choose and please post up your review here!

WHat's your favorite brush ? If you had to pick just one Simpson, what would it be?

The 'Chubby 2' in any grade.

The most iconic shaving brush in the world. Imitated by many, replicated by none.

We have Alexander Simpson to thank for this absolute beauty.

I use the 'Case' when travelling. What a little bundle of joy she is too ...

I bought my chubby 2 a few weeks ago when Gary said it was the favorite brush of just about all the simpsons. Frankly, I didn't see what all the fuss was about until today. I had a late day shave and decided to let her rip with spieck, and the CH2. WOW, tons of lather and it was great. I'm not stingy with product, but tonight I squeezed the knot a bit extra, and then reloaded the tips for the swirl, and I think that made all the difference.

    Glad I didn't sell it.

Great stuff. The Chub 2 is a monster when it gets going.

After reading and reading and looking at forum photos (brush porn) I finally ordered a Chubby 2 from WCS.

If I were to buy a CH2 or any Simpson for that matter, I would have to go with Jarrod from The Superior Shave.

Simpson's vary so much from brush to brush, its good to be able to see the actual brush you buy!

+1, too much variation in the knots.

Yep, Jarrod provides a great service for the brand.

I should point out that we taken significant strides in the last few months to ensure that our knots are as uniform as can possibly be with a 100% hand tied product.

QC is improving on a daily basis and that has got to be good news for all.

+1 too. Bought my Duke from Superior. Been a good brush for the most part. Tonight's shave is the most it's shed since I bought it a month ago so I figure it's working itself out. Before tonight, it shed only 2 hairs in the whole month. Tonight it shed 3 in one shave. But it's finally fanning out and softening up more. All brushes shed so no big deal with that. Now if it starts shedding every day, that would be a problem. But I bought the Duke because of the Simpsons quality and don't expect much more shedding out of it.

That's exciting and good news, indeed, Mark! I know that the Ivory Fleck Colonel that I received has a beautifully shaped and filled knot. I'll be looking forward to seeing the fruits of the increased QC, especially if that Colonel is a taste of what might be expectable. After getting an Emperor 1 with a disappointing knot from a vendor that doesn't post individual pictures of their stock, I decided that I'd only buy from Jarrod as I can be sure that I'm happy with the knot shape. So, hearing that some increased attention is being given to these issues is very exciting. Keep up the good work!
