The Electricity was out this morning . . . But there was still enough hot water left to shower in the dark. By the light of a battery powered emergency lantern, I shaved with: Schick type O injector Gillette twin injector blade (14th shave) Penworks Silvertip KMF Cool Mint cream And just another excellent shave.

May, 3 I followed Jeff's advice and tried to superlather Williams with Gada SC. What can I say... It was very funny to shave stubble half in icicles but I like how it feels! I think, I'll follow menthol Monday tradition in summertime. Thanks, Jeff! This Shave Goes Out To Alan from Arizona Friday's Shave Hot Shower Arko Uberlather:Shave Stick/Max.Comfort SC Omega 10029 Baby-Pro Boar 1952 Super Speed, with black tip & steel handle Perma-Sharp Super (Day1) Arko Nem moisturizer/Arko Aqua AS Guerlain Habit Rouge EdT-a couple hours later This shave goes out to Alan, because last week he was going to use his OCMM but he saw where I had posted that day using our birth-year Black Tip, so he used his Black Tip but with a Perma-Sharp Super blade, the Nat'l blade of Turkey... So today I decided to use the same set-up as a return tip-of-the-hat to my man Alan...WOW!! Great Shave !! My only regret is that the shave is over...:happy108

Happy Friday From Florida! Hot Shower Green Ever-Ready Horse Re-Knot Arko Stick Schick Grip EMS Blade (1) Cold Water Rag A.V. Musk 3 Passes = DFS+ Another fantastic yet minimalist shave. My face lathering experiment continues today with the Arko stick. I tried it a year ago and did not like it. I developed a rash and blamed it on the Arko. After the great results today it seems that I was wrong to blame the soap and should have blamed my poor lather building skills. perhaps I should grab another puck of Williams and try that again too... Have a great weekend Ya'll!
Friday: Omega Wooden Handle Super Speed/Rapira day 3 Erasmic Supreme Shaving Stick :love008 :love008 :love008 :love008 Lubriderm unscented moisturizer Booster Mosswood AS :love008 :love008 :love008 :love008 JHL Cologne I had heard that the Erasmic Supreme sticks were not so good, but let me say that it's a lot of BULL! The one I have lathers like a champ and has the same beautiful "barbershop" scent and great skincare as the Erasmic soap bowls. Today's shave was a delight.

Gillette Old Type BRW Improved handle British Wilkinson Sword Rooney 3/2 Super TOBS Avocado Alum Superior 70 Bay Rum Fantastic shave. I wish I knew more about the blades as I picked them up at a flea market. All I know is they have red writing on the wrapper and were made in England. The last one I used, I got 15 good shaves in a red tip. I'll just have to wait and see how well it performs in my Old Type.
Razor:Iberia 13 Strop: Ambrose "corto" Spanish Horse (25/50) Brush:shavemac D01 silvertip lather: Truefitt&Hill 1805 AS: Truefitt&Hill 1805 EdT:Trumper's GFT Comments:A spanish razor different than fily, Iberia was the brand of the straight razors made by Bassat, a company that made the blades known as "Filomatic". The olive wood scales are much better than the original (broken) black plastic scales. Not a terrific shaver as fila 14. Today a full 1805, a scent that I like a lot, the perfomance of the cream is not the best in glide and moisturizing properties but it runs. I don'thave the 1805 EdT but GFT goes well with the T&H scent. . Picture:

EJ DE 89L EJ 25mm Silvertip Clubman Luxury SC Clubman Pinaud AS (home super-iced) Astra Superior Platinum (1) I was going to wait and finish off the Voshkod I have in my flare-tip Superspeed but with a new razor, it is soooo very hard to resist loadin' up a blade and letting it rip, so I did :ashamed001. Excellent shave. No irritation, no stubble, nearly 100% BBS. Also, a few weepers on my left jugular, but no biggie. I Should have used a Voshkod and it would have been absolutely perfect, but it was lose enough. A solid 4.5 out of 5 blades. The 89L is as good as everyone says, but no better. It's fine lines and sleek, attention to detail finish makes it a pleasure to use but it is not, IMO anyhow, an awesome thing such as my slant or a Progress. But, to be fair, I am a true fan of aggression. The 89L has a nice middle of the road level of aggression and gets the job done completely and comfortably; I am happy with my purchase but not ecstatic but then again, I wasn't expecting to be.
