I did a system restore on my computer using windows 7 and I lost all of my pictures although it said that it would not erase personal files what can I do if anything to get them back ?
If you open up my computer. Go to C Drive. Then windows folder there might be one called Old Windows or something of the like. Or in the windows folder might be old windows. I haven't done a reformat in awhile but it was something simular to that. I believe. If it is wrong the worst thing is that you looked. Hope that helped.
How far back did you restore? There's a program called 'Undelete Plus' that will recover deleted files but I'm not sure if it works with a system restore Oh yeah, and backups backups backups. One of those things that you will never need until you need it...and if you don't have them, then you're SOL
