After reading all about the Arko shave stick and how great it is, I finally got around to trying mine out. Everyone says how you just rub it on your face, then take your brush and start swirling, and the lather just explodes. Well, it couldn't be that easy, could it??? I'm here to say that it can be and it is! I was so surprised at how much lather jumped off my face and actually into my brush to provide for another 2 passes (at least). It was slick, foamy, and smelled great! What a treat. I know what I'm taking on vacation next week. Thanks for the Arko Dale!

    No problem Tom.

It definitely performs above its pay grade. Not the most luxurious soap, but a good solid performer at a good price.

Yes, it is that easy. If only it wasn't on the list of soaps that cause irritation. I have to apply it only to my neck. Once, I neck lather, I can then apply the lather to the rest of my face. Go figure. But yup... it is a workhorse!

I'd say it's the easiest lathering product available. I'd use mine more often but I get nicked every time I use it, so for me it lacks in the protection department for some reason.

Yep, great lather alright, but as Steve puts it, the skeeter be gone scent keeps me from using it more often.

One of my go to soaps (the other being tabac). I even like the scent (childhood memories)!

Arko is my everyday use soap. I have tried alot of the higher priced stuff and Arko is my daily use soap.

Shave sticks are the most convenient means of lathering up for me, but I don't rub them on my face. With the help of running water I lather the stick with the brush and it whips up fast, is creamy, and is long lasting. No bowl is needed and no lengthy face lathering session. When I lather too much I wind up with too much "fluff" and not enough protection. Then it dries. It seems easier for me to get the right mix when I use a stick.

Have only had Arko myself fo about a week, Love the lather explosion and scent. The only problem I am having with it, is too much lather. I guess I have been rubbing the stick on my face with too much pressure which is overloading my brush when It hits my face.

I guess I need to apply the same rules to Arko as with a DE. No pressure! :)

Lather the stick with the brush? Are you using the "fist bowl" method?

I tried this a few times and it seemed to work fine. Options are nice. :)

I love the scent...but if you don't...Just apply as usual, then put one dollop of your fav. smelling SC in the center of the wet brush before you hit your face lathering and the Arko scent is faint enough it will demure to your SC pick...And the uber-lather is fantastic...:D

One of my favorite soaps, but can do without the scent. When I get them, I unwrap them and put them in a safe place in the garage. After about 2 weeks the scent is virtually gone...

I like it and use it when traveling along with my TSD sample containers. Push it into a Dollar Store but good Rubbermaid container and mix some menthol in with it.
