Is thier a difference in the yellows, greens and blacks. I have used the black wrapper and love them but have seen the others and wanted to know before I try them. Also what about the Gillette Rubies and Goal blades.

They are slightly different since they are made in different countries.

    It's definitely a YMMV thing.

Of all of the 7 O'Clocks I have tried (all of them now) I highly prefer the Super Platinums which are in the dark blue box and made in St. Petersburg Russia. By far the sharpest, smoothest blade I have tried! A close second would be the yellows, also made in Russia. They have some good methods in Russia for making blades, I guess!

I've tried the yellow, green. and black and for me, the black were the best.

I've not tried the blue as of yet.

i have tried both the green and the black. The black I felt was a little sharper. I did not realize there were so many varieties.

Not to make things even more confusing but there are two different varieties that come in the green pack too: Stainless and PermaSharp.

The blue and blacks are both Super Platinums. (Blue = Russia, Black = India) and I really like these blades. The only difference I notice between them is that the Russian version has glue spots. Both are sharp and smooth for me.

I really do not like the yellows. It has been a while since I have tried them so I may revisit them, but they were rough for me.

I just tried the Super Stainless Greens and really like them also. I have some of the PermaSharp Greens on Order and will try them soon.

Of course YMMV and all that, but the Super Plats are nice blades.

I have tried the Yellow and the Black. The Black, by far, are my favorite. They are rated slightly just above my Super Max Super Platinum's. It is a sharp blade, but with some cushion. I never have irritation when I use these blades. I did not care at all for the Yellows, they did not agree with my skin and left some irritation.

    Legs + Irritation = Not a Good Time. :D

I've tried the yellows, both the Russian and Indian greens, and the blacks. If I had to pick a favorite, I would choose the blacks, but the are all really good IMO.

I've tried the yellow, greens and the blues with blacks in reserve(I have a lot of blades sitting on the shelf to try, I must need more razors to put them in :D) out of the three, the blues are my favorite, I keep getting smooth shaves, one after the other with this blade in my Fat Boy, and I think I'm up to # 4 or 5 on the first blade.

I have tried the Yellows and Blacks. Blacks initially were my favorite. In my Gillette razors, as these were smooth, sharp, long lasting, but pricey. Yellows are lower priced, but seemed rough to me. However, since I got my EJ DE86, the Yellows function like the Blacks in that razor. In my Den, Blacks rule in the Gillette razors, Yellows in the EJ.

I liked both of the greens, yellows, and blacks. After a while of use I decided the yellows were a bit harsh and would give me more nicks than I liked. I settled on the blacks as my favorite of the group. Great blades!
