July, 1 The yesterday's shave was SO GOOD, that I decided to repeat it and see if I get the same result. So: TSD preshave balm ( :love055 :love008 ) 8/8 W&B restored by Glen Paddle strop Vie-Long horsehair brush Ceramic painted bowl TSD Cantaloupe soap ( :love055 :love008 ) Cold water rag Phyto Expert Sensitive ASB ASB is the only change as I use TSD Milk only on special occasions. Yes, the same DFS+! JoAnna's 'Funny soap' is one the most serious performers in my rotation!
Everharp Schick G8 injector Ted Pella blade (3) home boosted TSD Monkey Farts SS:anifrozen:anifrozen Vulfix 404 boosted Master's Bay Rum:anifrozen:anifrozen Nearly perfect today. One thing about it though, I nicked right under my nose! Nothing major but just enough to feel it all day :-( Other than that, it was one of the rare days that I almost couldn't find any stubble. It took me a few hours after I got to work, faceturbating rather often, before I noticed. A supremely good shave with exception of the nick. I thoroughly enjoy the scent of the Monkey Farts and IMO the Master's Bay Rum is awesome; cheap or not, that stuff is nice in scent, longevity, and it provides some good post shave soothing. 4.25 out of 5 blades.

Friday Prep: Hot shower Coffee: Home roasted, fresh ground Rwanda, BLACK Soap: Ogallala Bay Rum & Sandalwood Brush: Ever Ready 250PB with original knot Injector: Schick E Model Blade: ???, day 5, 3+ passes Post: Cold water rinse, ice water splash, Osage Rub, Ogallala Bay Rum As/Skin Toner 'Stache Wax: Steve's Own Shave Rating: 4 Blades It's been a fun week with the injector. What makes it even more fun is knowing there are so many others joining in I do find the shaves a bit rough, though. The end results are pretty darn good, it's just getting there that can be a little uncomfortable for me. I'll stick with using my injector every so often on Sundays, my usual day for SEs. Can't say I'm a big fan of the Ogallala soap. It's not bad (and you can't beat the price), I just don't think I would buy it again. The lather can be finicky to get just right, and just like MWF, with all the other good soaps out there, I refuse to fight with a puck of soap just to try and get a good lather.

Injector Week-Day 5 Well yesterday I booked a few gigs, the suprise is I have to be at the airport at 8:00am...The bad news is this is Day 5 of Injector week and when I travel I always use my '52 Super Speed...I have a chrome box with suede lining that fits this razor and one 5 pack of DE blades perfectly...Also with the injector the blades are good for 7 to 10 days and I hate to trash them on a daily basis due to packing the razor for travel...The SS is the most travel friendly razor I know...But as far as missing the last 3 days of Injector Week I use my Schick so often there is no guilt there, it's just I was having so much fun.... And it was hangin' with you guys and gal that made this whole thing so great... I DO WANT TO MAKE THIS CLEAR, I am not deserting you all...Its just duty calls, and BE-BOP waits for no one...So I know I can count on some of my dear Den-mates...My Injector Comrades In Arms...to do an extra pass or two on your Injectors for me this weekend...:happy102.. I will still be keeping track of you and the week's final festivities...And I know the finali of INJECTOR WEEK will be at least as much of a blast as the start and middle have been... For next week's "Super Speed Love Week" I can't anticipate any interuptions...Lets see, when I go on tour I take a SS, on my birthday I use my birth year SS, when my face needs a break I can still use my SS, shave at bus-stops SS is razor of choice, camping always take an SS...No I think Super Speed Week should for the most part be a safe bet...:happy102
Friday: Omega Wooden Handle Super Speed/new Rapira Egyptian Ingram SC :love008 :love008 :anifrozen :anifrozen Gillette Series Intense Cooling AS Balsam :love008 :love008 :anifrozen :anifrozen Aramis EDT I froze my face off in a good and enjoyable way--this Egyptian version of Ingram is fantastic. As I once mentioned, it is definitely colder mentholated than the UK version, and the consistency is much better. This one stays in 1 piece--it never gets watery, or falls apart like the UK kind. Happy Canada Day to all my Canadian brothers!
For todays Shave I had to be at the Airport by 8am after not getting to bed before 4am...Therefore a shave before leaving the house was not in the cards So the following is my 2pm shave at this destination...Conditions a tad adverse...rushed, left my usual AS and Habit Rouge EdT at home, water in shower not very adjustable...But I could use a great shave to turn things around... Friday's Shave Hot Shower...water here was either super HOT or cold, no in between so I opted for super HOT. Arko Shave Stick/Arko Adventure SC Omega 10029-here's were the Baby-Pro really shines. Drop in long pill bottle with holes punched in cap and ready to go. 1952 Black Tip Beauty-40's Style SS with steel handle. Astra SP (Day1)-Today is also "Day I" of trying Steve's stropping routine... Arko-Nem...my wife's Mango as I didn't have mine... Rebul Lavanda Cologne...accidently left my AS and Habit Rouge EdT but I always have a small spray bottle of this in my music bag, car, trumpet case, etc... Well two passes, WTG, ATG...no touch-up...one of the best shaves of my life...Today I needed it....Now I feel great!!! Rebul Lavanda Cologne filled in so nicely for my AS...shave was sooo irritation free and close...absolutely no sting from the Lavanda Cologne and the scent is heavenly... __________________

Thursday, July 1st Razor: D.R. Harris Chatsworth Blade: Super Iridium Brush: H.L. Thater Stout 1 Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime Soap: Taylor Lavender A/S: Geo F. Trumper Extract of Limes I have been on a mini cream kick lately and have been bowl lathering for a change of pace. The TOBS Lavender whipped up a great lather and I enjoyed another great shave. The Trumper Limes remains a favorite
Friday EJ89L Lord Platinum (6) Thater 4125/2 SCS Orange Sorbet stick Nivea Sensitive balm Aqua Velva Classic Ice Blue Burberry edt I've tried on numerous occasions to use this brand of soap but even with distilled water it fails. Lather fades nor is it slick, just one pass shave today for a 1 out of 5 stars. I pulled it out of the tube and binned it, needed the tube for another soap that works for me.

Challenge Cutlery/Florena SC/Franks 28mm/Osage Rub A very simple Shave. The Florena whipped up easily into a luxurious cream. The little Prince whacked down the stubble with ease. The Osage, well it doesn't smell the best, but man does it ever feel good. I'm left with a smooth face and a desire to shave again. To me shaving isn't about the end results, it's about the journey one takes to get there. And, the journey has been good. Great shaves today, Gentlemen. Have a wonderful weekend.
