Here's one that's a little different (at least for me) The blade is 3 1/4" long cutting edge, 8/8 tapering to 7/8 Spanish point with a smile. Swayback spine with hash mark jimps on top. For my modest grinding skills, this blade was a challenge. The long smiling blade and short tail made for a interesting time in front of the grinder. I happy with the way she came out. Scales are horn with ivory colored acrylic, silver pins and small ss washers.
I'm ignoring all you straight razor guys cuz I don't need any more straight razors! :angry017 Too darn pretty! :love029 :drool
That is one sharp (no pun intended) looking razor! happy088 How different is it using a "smiling" razor than one with a straight edge?
Wow, that just might be one of the nicest looking straights I have seen. If could ask.. what would something like that cost to purchase??
Thanks for the nice words. She is for sure a big one. It's hard to make a small 8/8 that has a cutting edge of 3 1/4". If you drew a line straight across the top and measured the widest part if would be a hair over 9/8. Brian
