hi im new to the site and the wet de shaving, but luvin the results so far just joined TSD-MUG and i really wanna try it to see what its all about, can any post some advise on some menthol products and best ways to use em, cheers
As for mentholated soaps and creams, I use 'em like I use any other soap or cream. Any soap or cream ordered from the TSD store can have menthol added at the time of purchase. Proraso cream is the same as C.O. Bigelow cream sold at Bath & Body Works. Fantastic cream. There are many others, but I'll stick to what I've used. I do really like TSD M Bomb, a menthol additive. I add it to my shampoo, soaps, creams, even aftershave. 4 drops into my palm, then a squirt of shampoo. I got the idea from Pert Plus Fresh shampoo. It's pre-mentholated 3 drops into my lather bowl, then whip up my soap or cream as usual 2 drops into my palm, then a squirt of aftershave. Same effect as with Osage Rub. I also use TSD ISZ PSB (The Shave Den Iced SubZero Pre-Shave Balm). I put some on, let it sit for half an hour, shower, then shave. Other folks use it differently, but that's how I like to use it. I use the pre-shave sub zero and it's awesome! however M_BOMB is the BEST THING EVER! You don't even need soaps with added menthal, three drops of M-Bomb in your soap and you will LOVE IT!
I mentholate everything I have that can be mentholated. It can pretty much be incorporated into every aspect of this hobby if you wish it to be. I have to try Not to have a chilly shave....but who'd want to?
