So I recently picked up a new waterstone from Japanese Knife Imports. It's a softish 400 grit waterstone. Gesshin is a private brand... specifically made for Japanese Knife Imports, and designed to suit the personal tastes of the owners in the way it sharpens. It cuts really well, even on hard stainless (I used it for sharpening a couple knives while i was at it) and sets a bevel unbelievably quickly.

I got this in an email from the owner of the company.
The stone was extremely well packaged (as you'll soon see via pictures) and even came with a hand written letter. (also pictured) Jon has been very helpful (and patient) with my questions, and I'm impressed with customer service, packaging, the product, etc, etc, etc. Anywho, now I'm rambling...
