I'm starting to enjoy shaving in the evenings. Maybe because I can stand the shower hotter, I'm not rushed to get out of the house (hotel) ... who knows, but I like it! I haven't used this SC in a long while, but I am glad Jeff put it in my bag.

Now I'm all relaxed, listening to American Pickers and waiting on time to hit the sheets.

Well, I have to be honest, I don't really get the whole travel handle thing.....I have a few more days with it so m aybe it'll grow on me, but at this point in my shaving career, I don't see myself ever diggin' it. Very odd and methinks that Gillette never really tested it before sending it out to market. I could fit a full sized handle in its place in the travel kit even.

Still beats shaving with plastic!

Three passes, plus a touch-up on the jawline, a little irritation on the neck this morning, little too much pressure. Not the best, but pretty smooth, I'll give it a SAS.

I have to drive into the office this morning for the first time in four months, this should suck, but at least I got a shave in first.
Now for some coffee.

The Muhle R41 continues to impress me! The only thing I would change is adding some heft to the handle. If this razor belonged to me, and if the handle is hollow, I might be tempted to drill a hole in it and stuff it full of sand or something. I guess I will have to buy one and try it!

I don't think I could have enjoyed this shave any more than I did - everything worked out perfectly. The Williams Menthol cream is very, very cooling, and it smells great. The Max Refreshing aftershave is from Bulgaria, and it was given to me by my dear and special friend who everybody knows. (Rene, the famous SSL Studio, who comes from the land of Ticky Tack!) :biggrin:

• Prep: Hot shower, hand strop blade, Noxema deep cleansing cream
• Lather: VDH puck, glycerin
• Brush: Frank Shaving Fine Badger
• Razor: Gem OCMM
• Blade: Walgreen's Gem (4), 2 passes
• Post: WH + alum, Aqua-Velva Ice Blue, hand strop blade

First non-stellar shave with the OCMM and it was all the driver's fault. Not sure if I was rushing a bit or just got a bit cocky, but I either used too much pressure or just tried too get too close on my touch up. This is the first irritation I've had after an OCMM shave. My lather might have been a bit off too, or this blade may just be winding down. I usually get 7+ shaves from this blade, but that might not hold true while in the OCMM. A good learning experience none the less!
