I started DE shaving with Mama Bear's Sandalwood Vanilla, which is a simply delicious scent. I then tried some Provence de Sante, Tabac, and Irisch Moos. Then I decided to try a couple of Shave Den soaps and one of them is the Bourbon Vanilla. I want to eat that stuff! Works great, by the way, I love it. Joanna, why is your soap white and MB's is clear, like other glycerin soaps I've seen (like VDH?). I think yours is also a glycerin soap, right? I'm still kinda new at this, and no expert on soap ingredients, but your soap seems different from any others I've tried. It's very, very nice stuff. Thick and slick. The Bourbon Vanilla is a real winner (for me, anyway). You might experiment with making a Sandalwood Vanilla mix, I'm on a vanilla kick lately. This has become my new favorite after shave for now.
Yes, my soap is glycerin soap, but my ingredients/recipe are different from others' recipes. I'm always glad to blend scents for customers. If I have it on my list, you can ask me to blend it with the Vanilla I have. The Bourbon Vanilla is certainly a wonderful scent. I enjoy it very much myself. Glad to hear you do too!
This was my first TSD soap as well (got mine Iced along with the Iced AS Milk). Fantastic scent and SWMBO loves it too! This is one of those soaps that will make me take it out just to take a whiff of it! :biggrin:
Yeah, I just received some of the bourbon vanilla wheat shaving cream and it is awesome. Great product, great smell. I also use the Clubman classic vanilla and it is great as well. Mmmmmm, vanilla.
I'm a creature of habit, and having too many choices sometimes makes me uncomfortable. I must be OCD or something, but I couldn't keep all the soaps I've seen others collect without going nuts. I think I will end up with just three products, TSD Bourbon Vanilla, Tabac, and C.O. Bigelow cream. But I find myself going to the bathroom to smell this soap at odd hours. Is that nuts? When I finally exhaust what I have already, I think this will be the one I reorder in quantity. I will try the Sandalwood Vanilla just to be sure, but I am trying to think of a dessert recipe I can make that smells like that soap! It's deelish!

Oh boy. I am borderline OCD, I think. But lately I can't get out of my Bourbon Vanilla, Pinaud Classic Vanilla AS kick. I love my C.O. Bigelow, Tabac, Provence de Sante ... and my Pinaud Clubman and Aqua Velva (sometime Old Spice). But I think I may just settle into a lifetime of shaving with Bourbon Vanilla and Clubman Classic Vanilla AS. I think I'm over the edge.
Magic.. and as stated above they have them new in TSD store . Who doesn't like the smell of gunpowder... some sulfer but not enough to smell bad... MMM such a great scent.
