A quick three pass shave with no touch-ups. Not perfect, but DFS. I am still loving the Palmolive stick, it leaves my face feeling good for the rest of the day.

I have shaved with the Futur slammed wide open, shut tight and everywhere in between. 3 seems to be a good balance but it is nice to be able to crank it wide open when I feel the need for it.

The Black Tip continues to impress. I had pick it up earlier this year in a lot of razors. Not being a huge SS fan (40's/50's type, love my Red Tip), it sat in the drawer unloved until the idea for SS Week rolled around. Thought I would take it for a spin, and it has really performed well.
Finished off with a nice cup of World Market coffee, Jamaican Blue Mountain.

My dear friend Dmitry gave me a great idea last night for my shave - Valobra Menthol soap is fantastic. The lather is awesome, and so much fun to work with, and the glide is excellent. The scent is not fragrant and exotic like for example, De Vergulde Hand, but it is still clean and very correct. The Eveline Aloe gel felt so cool and nice afterwards. :biggrin:

Todays shave goes out to Crackstar, I'm using his usual MO (Super Speed/Rapira) comb.
Also Mike, I here what you're saying about the Black Tip SS...They are diffinately one of the great ones...

Did 2 passes for a perfect DFS. Then took my razor cleaning tooth-brush and some scrubbing bubbles and put a beautiful shine on the Black Tip Beauty...At which time I couldn't resist to drop a new Rapira in and do a 3rd pass, taking me into solid BBS territory...Still irritation free...

 

Where did you get that little key thing that you roll your shaving cream up with?

A smooth, comfortable, and close shave this morning. Maybe the cessation of Super Iridium production was a good thing--it motivated me to try some other blades, and several are excellent for me. The Rapira is one example. These other blades may not quite equal the Iridium, but they are in the same ball park. They do need changing more frequently--the Iridium had amazing longevity for me.

I love these blades. I think I may have found my perfect combination of razor and blade. No irritation what so ever. 2 passes BBS like never before. SWMBO said " I love the rose scent on you".
