1940 Gillette Regent Tech

    My latest... A rare piece, this is considered to be Gillette's first solid-bar guard twist-to-open razor (although the Milord and the Milady Tech were also made in 1940 and were solid-bar guard razors). No endcaps, no blade bar notches. If it looks familiar, it's basically the first 1940s/1950s style Aristocrat. The inlay piece in which the razor and blade box sit inside the case, is all wood with no kind of covering. Just painted wood.

    Double Excellent Find (DEF)! That is indeed one of the grails of the shaving world! An excellent specimen. I bet that required a few ducats to obtain. It is worth it, however. Enjoy.
