1. Razor: Wilkinson Sword
    Blade: Gillette 7 o'clock blue
    SC: Florena
    Brush: FS 24mm Finest
    ASB; Everest

Another quick 2 pass near BBS with the Sword. No picture to again today, as it a pretty boring set up. But let me tell you this sword is made for blade buffing. I've been really impressed with it. It's very gentle and it's the razor I've been using on those days I want a second shave before going out for the evening. It's not a good razor for taking down a couple days growth. It's more of a stubble eliminator. If anyone is interested Bestshave.net now has these in stock at 8.95, and of coarse you can throw in some cheap Turkish brushes, (#6 is my favorite, but the #5 is catching up IMHO), Arko, and the wonderful Perma-sharp blades. I Love Bestshave. Anyway the sword is an amazing stubble buster, I really need to get an L6 to compare it to. Long live RAD!

Have a great day gentlemen. And peace be with you.
  2. Nice to see another user of the Arko ASB. I find it to be a pretty good balm at a great price. And the Rapira blades are Darn fine cheap blades that deliver. Great shave of the day. Like your picture.

  5. Not a big fan of the Corn Huskers. I tried it after hearing 1OldGI go on about it. Only cost a couple bucks, so I figure, what the heck.

Nope. Not a big fan of the Corn Huskers. Left my face feeling too sticky.

One of the disadvantages to getting older and being retired. Got up at 4:10 AM to "pee" and wound up
taking a hot shower and refreshing shave. Now what do I do? The suns not even up.

    Have a GREAT day.

    Vie-Long Bombito
    NDC tech
    7 O'Clock Yellow (day 2)
    alum, witch hazel, Speick
  12. It's been quite a while since I've used it. Maybe I was using too much. I still have it in the linen closet. May have to get it out and give it another try.
  13. I use a small dot smaller than a pee, rub it into my palms and then head to my face, if it feels like to much I quit rubbing my face and work the residue back into my hands and arms like lotion, then go back and rub my face down.
  14. Thursday, September 22

55’ Gillette Super Speed Red Tip
    Dorco 301 (d1)
    Preshave Oil Blend
    Renaissance Man Bay Rum SS
    Vulfix 404 Grosvenor Badger/Boar
    Osage Rub
    Herbissimo Mountain Juniper Edt

A little stubble left on the jaw line, otherwise a BBS with no nicks, burns or errors.
  15. Thursday - another day closer

    Prep: Hot shower, soak brush
Coffee: Home roasted, fresh ground Kenya Safari Ridge, BLACK
    Soap: Williams + 2 drops M Bomb
Brush: Vulfix 404, The Grosvenor badger/boar mix
    Razor: '58 Gillette TV SS
Blade: ASR Platinum Chrome, day 4, 3+ passes
Post: Cold water rinse, ice water splash, Dickenson's WH, B&BW Oak, hand strop blade

    Shave Rating: 4 Blades

If I was to rate this shave on results alone, it would be an easy 5 blades. However, as I have come to look forward to the entire experience of the shave, I must include everything from start to finish. Today it was the Williams that just didn't meet my expectations. Still not keen on the smell and I don't like that I can't get a great lather every time (yes, I do have soaps that never fail me, no matter how hard I try to mess it up ;)). This morning's lather was better than yesterday's, I'll give it that. But I am getting close to refusing to deal with a soap that is this inconsistent with the lather it produces. That's why I don't use MWF - too finicky.

I do have a question or two for those who really like Williams and consistently get a good lather - is your water hard or soft? Do you always use the same brush with Williams, even though you may use other brushes with other soaps?

  16. Happy Thursday From Florida!

    Hot Shower
    Green Marvy Mug
    Vintage Williams
    Chubbz II
    Muhle R-41
    Voskhod (2)
    Cold Water Rag
    Masters Iceland Breeze

3 Passes = 5 Blade, Off The Hook, Bang A Gong, Inter-Galactic BBS!

Another fantastic shave! For me, there is no better shaver than the Muhle R-41.

The Masters Iceland Breeze is interesting. It has a huge floral punch that fades a bit after awhile, but more curiously, it is alcohol free while containing Boric Acid...

    Have a great day Ya'll!

  17. I am not in the "really like" category, and perhaps it is not a fair answer since I have been using vintage William's with the Tallow listed before the Stearate (which are both animal based) but, I am getting the same results from badger and boar and horse. I also have hard water, which causes me to use more product and more water, but the results are pretty decent.
  18. Thursday:

    Omega Wooden Handle
    Super Speed/Astor day 5
Touchme SC (yes, that's the name. It's from Pakistan)
    Keri unscented moisturizer
    Sir Canada Cedar AS :love029::love029::love029::love029:
    Malizia Uomo EDT

This Pakistani-made cream is fairly good - it has a nice scent and excellent lather, and the skincare is decent. I still prefer the Indian creams, but this stuff will do if there's nothing else available. Here's a short, but funny You Tube commercial about it. ;)
