Friday: Omega Wooden Handle Super Speed/Astor day 6 Gada Cool Mint SC Keri unscented moisturizer Barbon AS Pino Silvestre EDT Ahhhhhhhhhhh, this shave was an absolute pleasure - the menthol from this Gada Cool Mint cream followed by the Barbon aftershave. These are 2 of the best face-freezers you can find. The Astor blade is going in the garbage because it's pretty well finished.
Rotbart/SuperMax Stainless (brown)/Palmolive in OS mug/Vie Long Horse hair/Clubman Musk This razor and blade combo was delivering a DFS on it's initial run, so I went ahead and shaved my head with it. I never do that with a new razor but today I felt LUCKY. Well this Rotbart mowed down about 4 days growth of hair with ease. Leaving me Smooth with a Mr Clean Shine. Two days with the Palmolive and I'm pretty impressed, so far this is a worthy soap. Easy to build lather, that is thick and creamy.Have great shaves today, Gentlemen.
Gillette Old Type Bull Mastiff Voskhod Simpson Chubby 2 Best Williams Alum Superior 70 Bay Rum (Boosted) While I think I have developed a preference for SE razors, the Old Type Bull Mastiff is still one of my favorite shavers.

FRIDAY Alright Vokshod trial #2. Razor - Gillette Redtip Blade - Vokshod Brush - Penworks Soap - MWF AS - DR Harris Marlborough Well Vokshod trial #2. I tried it in my Dad's redtip this morning and factoring in it was the second shave, it went pretty well. There's no doubt that it performs MUCH better in my Muhle though. There was a bit of tugging, but nothing bad, and I was confident enough in the blade to not grab my stiptic, or need to use the Proraso. Good 2 pass shave! Tomorrow I will try it in my '58 superspeed.

Autumn Equinox Seehund 5/8 - Palmolive Soap - Omega Boar - Alum - Aquatonic AS Awesome shave the pic was with my phone as I left my camera at work. Not too bad considering.
Edited down version of WW post: "The Cranford" 5/8 Illinois 827 Strop Omega Boar AOS Lavender Preshave Oil Williams Mug Soap Brut AS Balm No nicks or cuts. As far as the Williams went it actually gave me a pretty slick and stable lather that I didn't have to keep lathering on during the pass. I did have to load the brush every pass though, and did a combination of bowl and face lathering. I wouldn't necessarily say that I got better results over using the silvertip. Overall rating, bearing in mind that it was my first straight shave, I'd go with 4/5.

Saturday: Omega Wooden Handle Super Speed/new Personna (last one) Tibet Forest Fresh SC Svoboda AS Balsam Pino Silvestre EDT Our weather became very warm and humid again, so a good mentholated cream like this Tibet Forest Fresh did the trick very nicely. It comes from Bangladesh and is used in all the barbershops over there. The lather is fantastic, the scent is nice, and the skincare is pretty good. The Svoboda aftershave balsam is definitely one of the best.

Saturday, September 24, 2011 Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime Razor: Jaggerooney Blade: Rapira Swedish Supersteel Brush: Vulfix 2234 Super Soap or Cream: J.M. Fraser's Original Cream A/S: Dickinson's Witch Hazel, Pashana Bay Rum Splash I pulled out my seldom used Fraser's for this morning's shave. It's not my favorite cream, but the shave was a very nice one. The scent is a little "industrial" to my nose; if it were not, I could get to like Fraser's better.
