Menthol Monday! Rocket Green 7 O'Clock C.O. Bigelow SC 24 mm super badger reknot AV Ice Blue AS Not a real good shave today. Not sure what the problem was but I'm not clean nor comfy. It was only my second shave with the Rocket but my first one was really nice. Oh well, there is always tomorrow 2/5 blades today. Still waiting on my R41 too..... Anyone else ever order from Connaught before and how long did it take?
A week generally. But that's not really on Connaught. It has more to do with customs and the 2 postal services handling the package. Did you just order the razor, or was there more?
Just the razor. The email said they dispatched it (I reckon that means mailed) on the 9th.......now I'm worried. I'll give it another week and then ask him.
IMHO you would have been better off dispatching it from one of the vendors in the USA (time wise at least).
Not necessarily. I can not count the number of times I have received packages from overseas faster than I have from within the country. And Connaught is one of the quickest. And his prices (shipping and product) are better quite often, too.
That's why I said "time wise". I can order from either coast and have a package/order to me with two days, three max (like the blades I just ordered from you) via USPS Priority Mail and if I order from Chicago, I have it the next day via UPS. The only advantage Connaught would have for me might be the price on some items, but I prefer to keep my money in the country if at all possible.

Monday Razor - Red Tip Blade - Red Israeli Soap - Mama Bear's Woodland Pearl Brush - Penworks Finest AS - Clinique Post Shave Soother A great shave, but the last with this razor as I gave it back to my dad!!

The Dridecker Brush (Shea Moisture) Kiss My Face -Pomegranate/Grapefruit SC Gillette Blue-Ladies Razor Rapira Blade Alcolado Glacial Splash Proraso AS Balm -Ladies Gillette is not bad. It's like a superspeed with a long handle. Superspeeds are generally a bit too mellow for me, but I would definitely use this razor again. I think I'll try it with a Feather next time.

Alright! Monday's Shave finally! Lord L6 Razor Astra Superior Platinum blade Day 3 (I think it's done now) Eterna Pure Bristle Brush TSD Preshave Balm (My sample is now gone, I think I might have fits until my next TSD order) TSD Bourbon Vanilla Soap TSD Alum Block Ogallala Bay Rum and Sandalwood A DFS today, I didn't want to push the blade too much for a BBS. JoAnna's soaps should come labeled with a warning, "Do not use for shaving while hungry." My stomach was growling at me the whole time I was using the soap. Come to think of it a, "Not for human consumption" label might be good too. I haven't tasted one yet though. Out of the bottle, I liked the Ogallala Bay Rum and Sandalwood the best so that's what I used. It's not overbearing and it's a nice spicy sweet scent that I like!
Cranford 5/8" EJ Best Badger AOS Lavender PreShave Oil Truefitt & Hill Lavender Cream Nivea Post Shave Balm AV Musk I feel like the edge on this razor is getting sharper as I strop it. I did series of 50 or 100 laps on the leather several times throughout the day, and my shave was a bit smoother than the previous two. Face was fine as usual, and I did two passes on my neck one with and one against. I didn't want to push it though so the 3rd and 4th passes were done with the straight on the face and my progress set on 3 for the neck. Overall DFS, really pleasant shave...nothing like topping off an expensive british cream with cheap drugstore aftershave. 4/5
