Saturday - it's the weekend! :happy069: Time for the SEs!!

Prep: 30 minute marinade with TSD ISZ PSB, hone & strop str8, hot shower
Coffee: Home roasted, fresh ground Kenya Safari Ridge, BLACK
    Hone: Duro
    Strop: VB 2" Black latigo/linen
Soap: TSD Oak Leaves & Acorns
    Brush: C&E Pure Badger

SE: Schick Injector E Model, touchup
Post: Cold water rinse, RazoRock rub down, ice water splash, B&BW Oak

Outstanding results, but at the cost of a little bloodshed. Not enough to even require the styptic, but bloodshed nonetheless.

    Saturday's Shave

Just went for another two pass shave, still get a damn fine shave.

    Lord L6 Razor
Astra Superior Platinum blade 2nd day
    Frank Shaving Best badger brush
    TSD Pumpkin Delight Soap
    TSD Alum Block
    Witch Hazel
    Aqua Velva Ice Blue

Today's shave was all about keeping it simple and having little fuss, so I opted for two passes only. The TSD soap was excellent as always. The Frank Shaving Best Badger just seems to be getting better and better.

I don't think I could do without the alum block anymore. I simply love the way it feels, with the added benefit of not making my aftershave sting so much when it's applied.

Thought I was out of here yesterday, checked out of the hotel, went to the jobsite and sat around for 10 hours, and then checked back into the same hotel. Kinda sad. Same place different room.
OK Whining aside, I went for an awesome shave to even out the score.

    Proraso preshave balm
    Godrej Menthol mist SC
Omega Boar travel brush, face lather
Gillette Milord, w/ Rapira Platinum Lux (D3)
    Alcolado Glacial-Nivea sensitive balm

I didn't use my TSD blue juniper shave stick this morning, went for the menthol mist. I wanted chilly. The blue juniper is a very nice soap, the smell reminds me of the bushes in front of the house that I grew up in. That is some awesome soap, nice glide, great skincare, leaves my face feeling good all day. I just wanted a chilly shave today. Atleast a DFS, three passes, no touchups. A bit rough on the jawline. I think that is the end of that blade. Pretty good, but maybe I should have stayed with the blue juniper. Live and learn.

I am thankful of the job I have and the wonderful things the corporation does but these audits sure do wear me down. I can't wait til this one is over so I can get back to shaving for enjoyment instead of a chore that has to be accomplished to get through the day.

Now off for more audit prep, shopping for the center, lunch with Jeff and accounting homework. And laundry!

    Have a blessed day today!

    Sunday:

    Omega Wooden Handle
    Super Speed/7 AM day 3
    Rose of Bulgaria SC
    Keri unscented moisturizer
    Max Disinfecting AS

Smooth as silk again after 3 passes, but to be honest, I dislike the scent of this Rose of Bulgaria cream. I love the lather and the soothing skincare that it gives, so in that respect it is fantastic. I never really was a fan of rose-scented creams or soaps, with the exception of Klar Kabinett. The Max Disinfecting aftershave is also from Bulgaria, and it has a very nice classy scent, and this stuff leaves the skin feeling very clean. ;) IMG_5262-1.jpg max_blue2.jpg

The L6 was pretty impressive. I prefer a lighter razor and the L6 feels good in my mitts. I did some serious blade buffing and I'm left with a total BBS with out irritation. The L6 certainly lived up to it's reputation on it's initial run. With my girly sensitive skin, I've got to have some confidence in a razor before I'll attempt blade buffing. Really this could be an awesome everyday razor for me. I'm pretty impressed. The Speick was a dissapointment the first time I tried it, but today I used my trusty HH#6, spent more time on the puck and hit the sweet spot. Creamy, slick, dense Lather that exploded on my face. Nice, very nice.
    Have great shaves today, gentlemen.

    Sunday's Shave:
    • Muhle R41
    • Voshkod (4)
    • EJ 25 mm silvertip
    • TRSC moisturizing SC with menthol sprinkles
    • boosted Clubman Pinaud AS
Well, well, well. I finally had one bad pass with the R41. Went 3 passes today and if I would have stayed with 2 I'd have been irritation free but I had to learn at some point. As to what I learned, the R41 is indeed a little hard on blades. Somehow anyway. I got nearly full 2 pass shaves out of a Voshkod. 2 days less than I normally get in other razors with the Voshkod. Oh well, $.17 ain't gonna bankrupt me and I'm still damn pleased with the resulting shave. Taking into account the less than comfy 3rd pass and the little bit of burn that I feel because I pushed it through and didn't change out the blade, I'm giving this a 3/5 blades today.

I did rinse in between passes today and everything did seem to go on a bit smoother so I think I'm going to reincorporate it into my routine.

Notice the razor disposal slot in the medicine cabinet! ;)
