Dis-Like! Watch this video and see if it helps! It helped me a lot because I started getting great OCMM shaves from the start. Good luck and keep at it. Give your face time to heal if you need it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUG2B_-D0d4
I'm fixing to watch the video right now. I'm not blaming the razor at the moment, I'm pretty sure it's the operator.
Alas, 'twas as I feared. I had clearly put the 25C OC into hibernation for a reason. Far too mild for me, as my usual axe is either my 38C or my 39C Slant. I used Omega tube cream this morning, in honour of Menthol Monday, and 42 passes later I only had what I would call a somewhat-better-than socially acceptable shave. And after all those passes, my Clubman VI Bay Rum didn't even tingle. By lunchtime it didn't feel as if I had even shaved at all. I'll use the 25C OC again tomorrow, but only to give the other side of the blade some use. After that, I think it will be back to my usual setup. The 25C OC will go into retirement again, indefinitely.
Henckles Rapide shave down. It amazes me how agressive this thing feels when shaving and yet I still can't quite get my normal shave results with it. I need to use it more often. Hmmm... I forgot about the Shave King (thanks for the reminder, Bill!).
Tuesday Used the Sheraton this morning, paired up with a Voskhod. A smoother shave than yesterday, but just not as close. I find the Sheraton to be a bit mild. Oh, well. I still think it's neat to use something that old and get decent results.
Same shave as yesterday, but used a Semogue 2000 instead of the Owner's Club. Another nice shave. Gem OCMM Gem Stainless PTFE Semogue 2000 Klar Kabinett Alum Superior 70 Bay Rum

Ever Ready OC CVS blade (?) TGN Silvertip Badger AOS PreShave Oil Proraso Sensitive Nivea Post Shave Balm Brut Attitude AS I don't use SEs enough to know how many shaves this blade has been through, but it can't be that much. Very nice mild shave from this razor, I feel like I can abuse my face with it and it still won't get out of line. Very little irritation and no cuts, even doing some questionable maneuvers that other razors definitely would not have tolerated. I did notice though that no matter how I tried, in the end I wasn't able to get quite as close as a I would've with a DE. Overall a solid 4/5.
Wednesday, October 5, 2011 - Open Comb Week! Prep: Hot shower, California Baby face wash, Musgo Real men's body soap (Thanks Johnny!), hand strop blade Lather: Cella (Thanks Johnny!) - face lather Brush: Semogue 1250 Razor: Gem OCMM Blade: Ted Pella SS PTFE (7), 2+ passes Post: Alum block, WH, Aqua Velva Ice Blue, hand strop blade Unable to shave yesterday I was really looking forward to hearing the OCMM mow down my 2-day growth. It was my first time using the Cella that Johnny PIFed me and it was amazing. So easy to lather, very slick surface, and a pleasantly sweet almond scent.
Nice pic! The Ever Ready is really not considered by most folks as an open comb as it has the bar that goes along the front. It certainly will give a great shave, as you've already found out
