Ok, I'm going to need y'all to use your imaginations a bit. I sent my R41 off for someone to take for a test drive and forgot to take a pic for my SOTD before I mailed it. So, I envision it would be somewhere in the below pic, probably atop the Tabac.

    OC Week, Friday:
    • R41
    • Tabac SS
    • Proraso AS
    • Derby (3)
    • Vulfix 404, you know...."The Grosvenor"
Best shave of the 3 I used the Derby in. Maybe because I was extra careful not to sever any facial features I have. But over all a really good shave. I will admit to not loving the Proraso. It smells a lot like Adida Dynamic Pulse to me, which ain't bad, but the Proraso dissipates so fast. Between 4711 and Superior 70 in duration. I only worked half a day and had no trace left.....so I slapped on some Musgo Real :). The Tabac is maybe the best soap I've ever used. It is like MWF in many ways but so UN-finicky.

All in all, a 3.25/5 blades for this one.

    Razor: PILS
    Blade: Ladas
Brush: Rudy Vey With D01 Knot
    Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
    Soap: Harris Almond Shave Stick
    A/S: Harris Marlborough

I decided to dust off the PILS today and enjoyed an excellent shave. The Harris Almond soap is one of my favorites and the Splash of Harris Marlborough was the cherry on the sundae. An excellent shave!

We are home! The last of the tests came in, and there are no signs of infection. We are on a bili-blanket for jaundice, but he is home, and healthy. Thank you all for the prayers and well wishes. They mean a lot!

A quick three pass shave, and out the door. Work has been out of control for the last three weeks. I have equipment spread throughout the east coast on three different job sites, and I don't know if I am coming or going.

But I'll tell you what. I had a great shave. Thanks everyone for their great pictures on the SOTD, I love to see them.

Good Morning TSD. In a good mood this am, and looking forward to a great weekend for all, and continued good health for Michael.

    First, The Line Up

    DE89
Gillette 7 am Yellow (Russia) first shave ever with this blade
    Hot Towel Soak
    eBarber Preshave
    Italian Palmolive, Mug Whipped
eBarber Witch Hazel and Almond Balm
    Cold rinse and splash
    Aqua Velva Original

I loaded a new blade and cleaned my razor last nite. I was up early, felt grimy, didn't shave yesterday, so I hopped in for a long and hot shower. I then took the time that having nothing to do offers and made a ski slope full of foam.

And then, I started shaving with the new blade, taking a very easy wtg pass to learn the blade, which seemed to be to smooth to be working. Upon a face wash and relather I realized it was working just fine. Then an XTG...I start at the chin line and work to my ear, just like my grandfather, and saw the sink filling with hair. One more rinse/lather and time for an ATG. Then three spots that needed tending to and voila.

A little witch hazel, a little balm and some Aqua Velva original and my face was chillin.

Another great blade and shaving cream selection from Bullgoose. I'm liquified.

An easy fast to all fasting.

    your shaving buddy,

    scott

Nice shave. I gave the 4711 a shot this morning, but immediately missed the extra home boosting of my Superior 70. Anyway, off to work for a new server and data migration. Long Day ahead.
