I rarely use my Merkur HD these days but was reminded today that it does indeed give a good shave. The double dose of menthol felt good on this warm fall day.

I thought today was a DE day. After a hot shower I set to with the Futur, 1st pass on 2, 2nd on 3.5 and the 3rd pass and some buffing done on 5. A perfect BBS shave albeit with a couple of minor weepers sorted out by the alum.​

Sunday 9 October

This was an afternoon shave, but due to things beyond my control I was unable to post earlier.

Well, I went out this morning and cut the lawn and did some yard work, and then took a long hot shower.
I was going for a relaxing shave, and man I got it.

Proraso preshave balm
Proraso green tea and aloe soap (white tub)
Gillette New, and Lord Platinum (D4)
Alcolado Glacial, and Proraso ASB.

This was a three pass DFS, and just fantastic. I had all the time in the world, and it was fantastic. I just love the proraso white, it works great for me. Besides the razor and blade, this is the set up I used when I gave up on the store blades and goo, and first started to get serious about wet shaving.

Thanks for solving then mystery. I thought the packaging looked like the picture I had, it just didn't have the name on it.
