Coffee: Home roasted, fresh ground Kenya Safari Ridge, BLACK
    Soap: Vintage Blades House Brand
Brush: Mohawk 3-338 with original knot
    Razor: '53 Ball End Tech
    Blade: Dorco ST-301, day 5, 3+ passes

Another shave darn near close to 5 blades.

I roasted this last batch of coffee just a tad darker than the last. I think I like it better. We'll see.

4 pass DFS+. Every shave seems a little closer than the last, which is nice, but I think I might have to tone it down a little. After a WTG, XTG, and 2 ATG passes and my face does wind up a little crisp. The Reamir & Co. which was awful as a brushless cream (though it is according to the tube) was actually very decent when whipped up with a brush. It didn't make mounds of lather but the lather I did wind up with was pretty thick, offered decent protection, and was enough for 4 passes. In addition the smell is actually really nice - feels like I'm brushing Chai tea on my face. Apparently it's got Calendula flower oil. Whatever that is.

Wow! You made 4 passes with a straight and you still have skin. I'm impressed.

Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
    Razor: Merkur 23C
    Blade: Lord Platinum Class
    Brush: Vulfix 2234 Super
    Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
A/S: Dickinson's Witch Hazel, Diplomat Splash

I'm nearing the end of my MWF week and the shave was excellent. However, I'm looking forward to going back to the rotation--I enjoy variety in my shaving products. By the way, the Vulfix 2234 is often described as "floppy", and it is, but it worked up an excellent lather with the MWF.

I love these Rapiras so much because they're not only sharp, but they give very, very close and COMFORTABLE shaves with so little effort. The Euro Palmolive Classic cream is so wonderful, and the Hega aftershave from Sweden gives the skin a great feeling. ;)

Razors: 9/16 Kraut & Donahl (it's the razor in my avatar); Merkur Futur
    Blade: Astra (6)
    Brush: Altesse Badger
    Cream: KMF Lime
    A/S: Adidas Ice Dive

Methinks the K&D is ready for a turn at the PHIG and the barber hone. There was some pulling on the first past so I the barber hone a few times and things were better after that, but still not as good as I'm used to with this little razor. I can sure feel the difference between this and the 6/8 JM Schmid I used yesterday. I think I prefer the stouter razors. I'll know for sure when my 6/8 Dovo Best quality gets in either today or tomorrow. Had to do more touch up today with the Futur than I did yesterday.

Honestly, the bacon & sausage are probably better for you than what you did eat! :shocked003:

I swear, MWF for breakfast is just a "passing" fancy. But probably really good for the TP industry!

I ate some Ivory soap when I was a kid. I can assure you, it is a "passing" fancy. :)

And FYI, I read the directions on the box of MWF and it said "Johnny, don't eat this". :)

Don't usually push a blade this far, but this one gave me 5 good shaves, with today finally showing some major wear. This is the longest lasting blade of all I have tried. At about 2x the price, it would need to give 6+ good shaves to beat the value of others I like as well, so, I won;t be buying these in bulk anytime soon. They are darn nice blades however.

I saw a pack of Gillette Platinum blades in the drawer so decided to give one a go in the Futur. I enjoyed a nice shave followed by a very pleasant splash of Captain's Choice Bay Rum Very nice indeed!
