Larry from WhippedDog.com hooked me up with this awesome razor. Being a noob to using a straight I was not going to drop a 100 or more on one unless i liked using it. Larry's website has awesome prices and only the best service when it comes to hooking up some noobs. The razor was honed and shipped right away and got it within a week. I do plan on making my own scales for it. I stropped it up and tried out my first shave, 2 nicks and a clean 2 pass shave I am completely hooked on straights! look out DE's ;)

Nice razor you got there. I hope your straight journey will be as rewarding as mine has been.

Great razor! I just purchased something from Whipped Dog as well. I got the sight unseen kit and it's been great. I had my second shave with the straight this morning and I got one nick when I went over the top of a previous nick, but that was it. I'm not BBS, but I got a good shave out of it. I too feel myself getting hooked on straights.

Nice. I am a sucker for any of the Sheffield blades, but the nicest ones I have are FR. It will clean up well and give you many good shaves! Enjoy!

You know, living in Japan I never know what I am buying, so this wood is unknown but from what I have seen on Cocobolo it very well could be.

It's a beauty! Fairly old too. I hope you're not going to re-scale it as that will decrease the antique value but . . . up to you! I have a couple of these razors and LOVE the weight of them.
