Sorry, I haven't had much positive to say and for some reason TSD has gotten dead slow through chrome on my home computer. Probably time for a cookie purge.

But just sitting outside enjoying a rare beautiful November Saturday. Took daughter up to Three Oaks Michigan and spending the day watching rocket launches. Bought a bowl of chili from a guy selling chili out of his trunk.

    It is a good day

Btw, Spam-a-lot was a touch dissapointing but was still enjoyable.

Hmmmm... maybe time for more chili while the rockets are being reloaded. These big rockets are awesomely sweet

I spoke to the accounting manager for the office. He is going to the next level up in hr to talk about the schooling. I think things may work out though...one way or another. When I got home last night I had a pretty good feeling about things.

That approach is much better and glad that you are feeling better about it!

I have a simple solution to this fwp. Don't get ice. The drink is already refrigerated, and you get waaay more soda in your cup.

I don't get ice for soda. I get ice for tea. Tea doesn't start out as cold (unless dispensed through the soda fountain, in which case it's typically lower quality tea). So Jim, you solution does work for me.

    agreed... no ice.

As noted, ice just waters down the drink. And who needs their coffee to be cold anyway?

I tried that once, it wasn't very refrigerated. I usually only do half a cup of ice anyway, like you said, more drink, and as fast as I usually drink it, it doesn't have time to get warm anyway

+1 to tea, unless I'm in a place where I know the tea is probably on par with the water in their toilets (Arby's, I'm looking at you...)

Also, do you mean Micah's solution? I haven't given a solution yet....
But here it is: Hold cup under ice dispenser 5 times for one-second intervals :)

well, sometimes it is a nice variance, on a hot summer day. but yeah, good point :)

Yeah, I meant Micah's solution. Your "solution" makes me think of a Road Runner Cartoon.

BGDAAA! is hitting with a vengeance. On an up note, however, just got rid of 100+ computers and 120+ monitors. Spent all week last week stacking them neatly, and inventorying them, then today, the recycling guys just yanked em around by the cords and tossed and bounced them. They let me chunk a few of them. That was oddly gratifying.

I'm assuming you meant "Chuck" as in throw, not Chunk. I'm not sure how you'd chunk a monitor, but if my best guess is right I really wouldn't want to chunk anything that big.

"Chuck", "Chunk", same thing in my neck o' da. What wasn't as gratifying, however, was dropping one of the monitors on my big toe. I might have broken my toe. It certainly left a huge, honkin' purple bruise.

How much monitor could a chunkin' Micah chuck if a chunkin' Micah could chuck monitor

Well, wretched internet connection that keeps me from doing as much internet stuff as I like, things are starting to look up. Been keeping myself busy, started going back to church, hearing a lot of what I need to hear (though not necessarily what I WANT to hear.) Love having an 8-5 job, driving all over the Texas brush country. (i.e. Alice, Freer, San Diego, Premont, Kingsville, etc.)

Signed the filing paperwork for my divorce.

All is all, I think I'm going to be alright!. I'll continue to stay in touch. Need to get a more powerful wi-fi adapter.
