2nd Annual TSD Blade Bank Hunt **Now Very Pic Heavy!**

Is that a blade bank?​

Short notice, sorry, but it all just came together this morning.

JoAnna traveled all the way from Tulgey Woods to my house, and we missed making the Chicago get together by >< that much!

So to make up for it we are holding the 2nd Annual TSD Blade Bank hunt in the Blue Island Illinois area tomorrow, Saturday November 12th.

Start the day at a Chicago Ridge Old Country Buffet @ 11am, we'll have lunch, chit chat and plan out the specifics of the hunt from there.

Then we'll move off on the Blade Bank hunt and head to either the Swap-O-Rama, or to some shops in Blue Island.

 

Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow. I couldn't make the big Chicago gathering on Thursday either

Moi, facebooked me it is on Saturday. Crap, I work Saturdays until 2pm at the earliest. and I did not know about any Chicago get together on Thursday.

 

Rats, it is a 20-hour run from here to there. I could pull it off, but would be a zombie by the time I got there.

 

If it's 20 for you...Looks like 40 for me. I hope everyone who goes has a great time!

It was great to finally meet some of the TSD denizens! And as JoAnna mentioned, the above has to be one of the coolest razor/blade holders. Even my wife agrees that it is awesome!

I will need to rig up a better platform for the legs. It stands a little too short to hold razors as it is (hence the VHS tapes)

Wanted to let everyone know I received a text from JoAnna @ 6:30am this morning, they drove straight through, and made it home safe and sound.

The Queen of Blades, Lady Dridecker, Sparky and myself started the day by meeting Etoyoc at an Old Country Buffet for lunch, then moved onto a very large flea market in Alsip Illinois, the Swap-O-Rama. While we did find some good deals on some blades, and a new aftershave to try, it really was too large and more like your typical flea market (think stereos, sunglasses, clothes), than what we wanted, so off to Blue Island to hit up some Antique Shops.

A short time after arriving in Blue Island burnWood, aka Huggy Bear met up with us, and off we went.

On the hunt with Sparky, burnWood and Queen of Blades at the large antique store where we had a little luck.



After the hunt was over, we retired to a semi nearby McDonalds, where we helped Queen of Blades carry in several boxes of goodies she was handing out.


Of course while there we warmed up and grabbed a snack, pictured below is Lady Dridecker, burnWood and Queen of Blades.
