I saw some in a Zazzle email today. Not the same shape as those mugs, though.

That is correct. The "cups" graduated on the side of a coffee pot are actually 5 ounce cups, not a true 8 ounce cup.
I drink one or two big Boca Java cups of Boca Java coffee before work, and one 34 ounce Quiktrip travel mug of Boca Java coffee during the day.

When I'm rushed, I shave with my 1984 Atra in the shower. I use either Ivory soap of my wife's (Shh, don't tell her) Hair One as a shave lube. The Hair One is great, it has tea tree oil and is cooling and soothing, and is a great shave lube. I use it and the ivory soap like a brushless cream. Pump the Hair One out of the bottle and rub it all over my face, after washing my face with Ivory soap.
I rub the bar of Ivory all over my face, after washing it, and rub it around with my hand. Then, I shave.
The Atra, with ASR carts, gives me good shaves. I did a one pass in the shower this morning, in no time flat. My face looked BBS. You would have to rub my face, against the grain, to know that it wasn't.
The Atra works so well for me, had I had it a few years ago and known about ASR carts, I would have never switched over to DE/SE/Injector/straights. Maybe.

    I'm a DE noob - 8 weeks in :)

Either I shave at night after the gym or:

If in a somewhat hurry I shave first pass with my DE, then do the second with my Mühle Sophist Fusion.

If in a real hurry I will skip my DE and shave one pass only with my Fusion with a new blade, going first WTG and on same pass go ATG to get a 95% BBS ;)

I find that shaving with a DE can be nearly as fast as with a cartridge razor, but it also sucks you into the world of shaving. You start paying more attention to the process and the results, taking more time and care, striving for better results, reading these forums and trying new approaches...
Of course, using a brush and soap adds its own time as well.

Years ago I was the ultimate speed shaver, trying to spare every possible morning minute. It was then that I discovered I could shave (one pass) faster with a DE than with a cartridge, hence I dropped the cartridges. With two edges instead of one I could do more strokes between razor rinses. Yea, I got a lot of 5 o'clock shadows, but morning time mattered more. When I started traveling heavily I found if I shaved in the evening (one pass) when I had more time, then a quick one pass again in the AM, the 5 o'clock shadow pushed out to an 8 o'clock shadow. As an old pro speed shaver, I can attest that nothing beats the time of a DE.

I still don't think ANYTHING can beat my Mühle Sophist Fusion razor, a can of Sanex AloeVera ShaveGel and a mirror & hot water :)

Yesterday I had planned I would use my brand new Dovo Eucalyptus ShaveCream and use a 3 pass DE shave, but I got delayed at the gym and had a 4 day beard, a dinner invitation to catch and 6 minutes after I showered.....

I got my face wet, hot water on my Fusion blade and a fist full of shavegel. 5 minutes left now.
Massage the gel into beard, hot water on Fusion blade. 4 minutes left.
Start shaving, first WTG, then immediately after ATG.
Finished the shave. 1 minute left.
Cold water splash followed by Clinique post shave healer. Time's up.

No cuts, no nicks - and a 98% BBS shave. Don't think a DE can ever do this.

Looking forward to a slow 30 minute shave tonight with Dovo ShaveCream, my Mühle Sophist Silvertip brush and DE razor and a slow 3 pass shave. But honestly the result will probably not be better than what I got in 5 minutes with my Fusion to be perfectly honest.

That shave was the fastest and most effective I've ever done - when you look at end result and time spend on the shave in cohesion.

I love the art and patience of creating a lather and doing a 2 or 3 pass shave with my DE, but will never live without my Fusion. Once in a while a 5 minute 98% BBS is a necessity ;)

Fusions are definitely capable of speed and decent whisker removal. We didn't have those in the 80's when I switched to DE's from Trac IIs. I travel with a Fusion, and it does a decent job. However, I am always glad to get home to my DEs and SEs, where my 3 pass routine gives me the smoothest face of all.
