I'm with you on this...I did start on an injector, but loved the Trac II as soon as it made the scene...Even got one for my Dad, and he dug it aswell...But I did lose interest after the Atra aswell...And by this time my Pop was already back on his Schick. And he didn't tell me either...I just dropped by one day while he was shaving and caught him...I had gotten him an Atra and when the blades ran out he went back to his beloved Schick...:)

I now see I posted this in the wrong place. If a mod can move the attached thread here, that would be great.

It's fine where you posted it.

btw, per the earlier posts; Take The Money And Run is not an Eagles song. It's The Steve Miller Band.

I still have several Trac IIs from years ago and blades which I use especially when traveling. Also, I kept my Reed and Barton silver Atra that has been in my den since 1982; even bought a spare that is packed up in the original box just in case. The injectors are in my weekly rotation and have been using and liking the Easy Rider, lately.

I picked up this Schick Injector I2 Hydro-magic on eBay for $4.99! I'll take it for a test run in the morning.

Thats my avatar!! Thats also my daily shaver for the most part...Occasionally I'll use another razor for fun and invariably regret it and be back on my Schick the next day....Looking forward to your details of the maiden voyage...:)

Great razor, and for $4.99 that's a steal!

wknicholas, do you feel guilty about stealing that nice injector?
I wouldn't either. That's a great deal. Even greater since it costs less than a modern cartridge razor and the blades are much cheaper.
If you have a Fred's store nearby, you can often find ASR injector blades there. A buck or two for either 11 or 20 blades, forget which. It's still a fantastic deal.
I love my G injector, my Pal adjustable injector, and my Gillette Twinjector.

I shaved with the Twinjector last night.
I dropped it on the floor, washed it out and continued shaving.
I noticed it felt more aggressive than my G injector. Much like my E injector. Took a close look and noticed that the blade had shifted position.
Turns out the head design of the Twinjector has a bottom plate that moves more and easier than the Schick or Pal injectors.
Easy fix was to insert the key, carefully slide the blade out, and reinsert it in the correct position.
Resumed my shave and all was right with the (shaving) world.

I still need to get one of those Hydro Magic injectors.

That's more or less the long handle version of what Lloyd and Nick have. Should make a good razor.

I recently picked up two 1912 Gem Damaskeene SE razors. I plan on trying 'em out this week.

Well, I had to join in on this hydro fun. I bid on two of these and I'm still high bidder on one and purchased this one. Did not get the same great deal old Nick got, but I'm satisfied. Here is the first one.
