Tuesday Razor: JM Schmid & Son 6/8 Brush: Omega Boar Soap: Tabac A/S: Old Spice Good shave this morning. I'm may have to touch up the JM Schmid on the barber hone though because I think I used a little too much pressure when I stropped this morning. I'll know when I get home from work.

Tuesday, November 15, 2011 - Today's the day! Prep: Hot shower; hand strop blade Lather: C.O. Bigelow - face lather Brush: Vulfix 2234 Razor: Gem HFT Blade: Pella SS PTFE coated (2); 3 passes Post: Warm water rinse; cold water splash; Bio-Oil; Clubman Talc Really starting to get the hang of both the brush and the razor. The brush created a very slick lather and I've got the angle down on this razor now. The HFT is definitely not as efficient as the MMOC, but it is quickly becoming my 2nd favorite SE filling the spot I was hoping it could as a daily driver. Shave Rating - Splendid. Now if the weather was only as good. God Bless!

Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011 Brush: DoRosso super silvertip Razor: Edwin Jagger DE89L Blade: Lord Cool, 3 and done. Soap: Cella Toner: Alum block and Thayer's lavender witch hazel A/S: Ogallala Bay Rum & Sandalwood DFS, no trouble at all, but that's the last of this blade unless I want to risk irritation. Good blade, but short lived for me like many of the Lord blades, Shark being the exception. The DoRosso whipped up mounds of lush lather from the Cella! Slainte!

Short But Sweet: Today was one long day in the bed. Finally, it was shaving time. I decided I was gonna do the whole three pass shave but just move as fast as I can between steps. So with a chef like precision I went about the process of a three pass+ shave. While my EBC pre shave serenading me, I began to mix my brew of Menthol Palmolive Italian. It became that time so I went for my Jagger 89, the fourth and smoothest shave of a Gillette 7 o'clock Blue. As the ISZ milk was soaking in I brushed my teeth and hair. I then topped Menthol Tuesday ( I was sick Monday) off with Barbers Choice Menthol AS I got into the car, picked up a coffee and bagel, felt my face and said, this is a nice shave. Once in a while u get shown the light in the strangest of places if u look at it right.

Tuesday, November 15th Razor: GIBBS Adjustable "Click Pen" Blade: Super Iridium Brush: Rudy Vey Beehive with D01 Knot Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime Cream: Tabula Rasa Vetiver and Tangerine A/S: Trumper Limes It was a busy day and I did not get a chance to shave until this evening. It was worth the wait though as I took out the GIBBS adjustable for its maiden voyage. Because I had never used this razor before, I erred on the side of caution and set it at 2. I enjoyed a very smooth comfortable shave. One thing that really struck me was the audible feedback from this razor. If you think the Futur sings, you have not heard anything yet. A splash of Trumper Limes and I am ready for some TV time before bed.
I have figured out, that last week's TTO shave had that "Weasles Rip My Flesh" thing happening because the Injector has spoilt me...I no longer give the prep the importance it requires in DE Shaving...I only rinsed my face with HOT water once or twice before lathering, like I do some mornings with my Schick...That coupled with a 2 day growth gave me "neck burger"...I understand the reason, but I still repacked the offender away and eagerly anticipated the next day's Injector shave....Well the neck wasn't exactly ready, so I took a 3 day vacation from shaving...
