I will be shaving closer to dinner time for a smooth Turkey Table face, but I can't get over how smooth I still feel from yesterday's shave. I will likely repeat it and see what the results are.

    Omega Wooden Handle
Ming Shi/Sputnik (not sure which day)
Italian Palmolive Menthol SC :love029: :love029: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    Keri unscented moisturizer
Osage Rub AS :love029: :love029: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    JHL Cologne

I think it's been over a year since the last time I shaved with my Ming Shi. It's a wonderful, mild razor as well and this morning it gave me a great shave with almost no effort. The Sputnik blades however, are not really my thing, because I find them a bit harsh. The combination of the Palmolive Menthol cream and the Osage Rub is FRIGID! ;)

I can give it a shot, certainly won't hurt anything. Thanks anyway.

    Thursday - another day closer

Prep: Hot shower, Cedarwood scented shampoo, Cedarwood scented soap
CD: Muddy Waters ~ The Essence of Muddy Waters, disk 1
Coffee: Home roasted, fresh ground Ethiopia Illubabor, BLACK
    Cream: TSD Cedarwood Wheat Cream
Brush: 24mm silvertip set in red mallee burl handle
Razor: Merkur 34C set in red mallee burl handle
Blade: ASR Platinum Chrome, day 4, 3+ passes
Post: Cold water rinse, Dickenson's WH, Curve, hand strop blade

    Shave Rating: 5 Blades

Yeah, I like cedarwood; just a tad ;). It's my first time using a TSD cream. The lather was a bit thin, but that's my fault. It's a new product for me and I have to figure out just the right water/product ratio. I'm more of a soap guy, so this cream week is a bit of a challenge to get a good lather every time. I like it.

The cream smells great and did provide a nice glide and nice, smooth results. Just may have to buy more!

    Happy Thanksgiving, all!!

    Thursday, November 24. Good Morning!

Going to be on a MWF & Floid Blue diet for a few days breaking in a new brush. I know the Floid Blue has absolutely nothing to do with breaking in a new brush, but I just love it, especially after a MWF shave.

Morning Coffee: Hills Brothers Original Blend
Prep: Wash face with Musgo Real Glyce Lime
    Razor: Schick G1
    Blade: Schick
    Soap: MWF
    Brush: Semogue 2011 LE #49
    Scuttle: Dirty Bird 1.5
Post: Cold water rinse followed by some Floid Blue

    Have a GREAT day.

    Happy Thanksgiving TSD

I tried to put off shaving, but needed a shower, so I tried to shave nice and close for dinner.

    Assorted hot/cold soaks/wraps
    Preshave-Tea Tree Oil
    Brush-Vulfix 404 Mixed
    SC-Taylor Lavender Cream
    Razor-EJ89
    Blade-Gillette 7 o'clock yellow (2)
    Post Shave
    1. Witch Hazel
    2. TSD Bourbon Vanilla Milk
    3. Pinaud Lime Sec
    4. Caswell Massey Jockey Club Talcum

I wanted to shave closer to dinner, but after the am shower I was in the mood. Plus I knew my Yellow would keep me smooth till the early dinner tonite.
I recreated much of yesterday's shave with near identical results; a very close, problem free shave with lots of hair in the sink.
I will again reward this with my highest grade so far, a 4.6 Blader.

    Enjoy your day and night

Wow the return of a Legend....You made history with that razor...:)
You know when I first returned to TWS...My first razor was a Ming-Shi because of something you said that fateful first day I lurked here...:) Someone said something about the Ming-Shi and Bob said that they had better watch out, that you were going to show up and defend it...and you did...It was so funny...I picked up a Ming-Shi at a corner Barber Depot that day and became a Shave-Den devotee from then on....:)

    Razor: Merkur Futur
    Blade: Polsilver
    Brush: Shavemac 2007 LE
    Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Cream: Tabula Rasa Vetiver & Tangerine
    A/S: Meehan Bay Rhum

I enjoyed an outstanding shave today. The Polsilver blade seemed much smoother on this shave than the first which is not unusual. A fine BBS shave followed by a favorite cooler weather scent, Meehan Bay Rhum. Very nice indeed!

    Razors
: Merkur Futur; JM Schmid & Son 6/8
    Blade: Astra (4)
    Brush: Omega Boar
Soap: Ogallala Bay Rum Sage & Cedar
    A/S: Royall Bay Rhum

I waited to shave until late in day and I'm feeling lazy today (we're going to the in-laws for dinner) so I did one pass with the Futur and finished with the straight. The result: a very nice BBS shave! The Ogallala soap produced a perfect lather and the Royall Bay Rhum provided a nice finish for the holiday!

    HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
