The Cadillac of Shaves(from when a Cadillac was a Caddy)

Today's shave packed the smoothness and comfort of my Grandfather's 61 Caddy Convertible. The luxury came in the form of the return of MWF to my daily shave list with the end of cream week.

    The Line Up

    Batting Leadoff-assorted hot/cold soaks/wraps
Batting Second-proraso Pre/Post Shave. A versatile player, plays two positions
Batting Third-Vulfix 404 Mixed, Never met a cream or soap that it couldn't lather
Batting Fourth- "The Fat." Always lathers great and is as cushiony as it gets
Batting Fifth-EJDE89. I am so glad, more so each day with this selection
Batting Sixth-Witch Hazel. Now a must!
Batting Seventh-Old Spice Original. I will always love this scent
Batting Eighth-Caswell Massey Jockey Club Talc. I wouldn't know I was done shaving
Batting Ninth-the lights and mirrors in my den. At 46, I finally have the big bathroom

Save: TSD. This is where I learn everything I know. Here's a Pic:

Really good shave again this morning. I'm astounded with the amount of lather in the brush when I go to rinse it. Just a handful of super thick and rich shave cloud. Good stuff! 3.5/5 today :)

I find the Tech's deliver a very mild shave myself.
Usually end up making a 4th pas to clean up what is missed.
    That coffee sounds fantastic though!

    Wednesday 30 November

    Proraso white soap
Omega Boar brush 10015, face lather
GEM Micromatic w/ GEM SS (D2)
    Alcolado Glacial and Proraso ASB

This was the second use of the GEM Micromatic SE, and it three passes it gave a DFS++. No weepers, no irritation. This razor seems to be working very well for me. I can't say enough about the Proraso sensitive in the white tub, its just great for me. Great start for an early morning shave.

    Have a great day.

    Wednesday:

    Omega Wooden Handle
Parker 22R/Nacet (I forgot which day!)
Kool Monsoon SC :love029: :love029: :smiley freezing: :smiley freezing:
Gillette Series Intense Cooling AS Balsam :love029: :love029: :smiley freezing: :smiley freezing:
Oscar de la Renta Pour Lui EDT

I enjoyed a very nice and relaxing shave with my Parker 22R, which was a gift from a very special friend of mine in this group - in fact it was he who brought me into TSD. The Kool Monsoon cream smells lemony and lovely, with a hell of a rich lather and a good menthol effect. It comes from Bangladesh. ;)

I really need to pick up some Proraso again! I had a tub of green years ago when I thought I was awsome with a brush, but in truth, didn't know what I was doing!:ashamed001:

    Wednesday

    Schick Injector (L)
    Personna Blade
    Omega
    MWF
    Proraso White ASB

I recently got a pack of Personna blades and decided to see how they compare to the Schick. The best way I can rate the difference is like the Shick Inj. blade is like a Feather SE blade in sharpness and smoothnes, while the Personna Inj. blade is like a Personna DE...It gets the job done! Mind you this is my first impression...and is likely to change. I hadn't used my MWF in quite some time and honestly forgot how good it feels when used on a winter morning! The result was a decent shave...not great...but decent!

    Wednesday

    Dovo Best Quality 6/8
    Omega Boar Brush
    TSD Irish Spring Style Soap
    Pinaud Clubman

Not a bad shave, but not the best, but I was rushing and distracted by a kid taking a bath at the same time. The scent on the soap was wonderful, but the lather wasn't the greatest but that was my fault because I was rushed when I made it. I may have to use this soap again tomorrow and pay more attention when I'm making my lather.
