If anybody's interested, glycerine is a great preshave treatment and I've been using it for a while. It can be had at any pharmacy or the like (I get mine at Walmart) for $4 per bottle and makes a great skin and whisker softener and gives the razor a bit of slipperiness. Just rub 4-5 drops into your wet beard and skin.

This might be the best shave I have ever gotten with the Gillette Slim, it was a three pass DFS++. I got up early just to have the bathroom to myself. I'm packed and heading to Houston for the week.

A nice shave to start off a work week always puts me in a good mood. Wow, so much iciness this morning with the Godrej Menthol Mist, followed by this fantastic balsam which is made in Austria. BTW, the 7 AM blades are very good - you just have to be a little more careful with them.

A Tremendous Menthol Monday

I gave the face a day off yesterday and came back today for Menthol Monday. Everything just went right. Maybe the Jagger heard I was looking for a more aggressive brother for him, but 3 perfect passes, and also a return to a Gillette Dark Blue (the Feather ran out of steam on shave three).
