    Hi Guys

These showed up this week and I really like these razors. First is a monogrammed Travellers set with the initials TLM. Everything but the razor has the initials. The seller remarked that it might not be the original razor but I'm not concerned. The set is in great shape as is the case. Next is my Big Fella which I had chromed along with the blade bank. The case I sanded and refinished so now all is shiny, bright and smooth. And finally a very nice Gem in a celluloid case with blade bank. The shave den is getting close and when I finish everything else the Missus wants done I'll get it completed. Soon...no really, soon.

I think the wooden case makes them look classy!

Huck, what did you use to refinish the wooden case. I have one that needs refinishing. Also, what can you tell me about the sanding process you used? Thanks

I used very light grit sandpapers. started at 220 or so and finished with 300 and then final with 400. Then I used a waterbased polyurethane in the satin finish. 3 coats. Also, I didn't need to stain the case because it's a light natural colour to start with that was enhanced by the polyurethane. If you have a darker case or one thats been stained experiment with waterbased stains because if it doesn't look right to begin with you can wipe most of it off.

Thanks, Huck, I appreciate it. I'll try to put up a picture when I get time to do it.
