This has turned out to be one of the better brush purchases that I have made. A really, really nice brush.
yes very nice, you must be getting close to Aaron on brushes (although he has added a couple recently)
If you would have seen the original pm's you wouldn't have thought he would have gone with the D2 haha.
No where close. Not even a fraction of what Aaron has. Click on My Shave Den at the bottom of this post to see my brushes. There is only 5. Yes, you study with the professor, takes notes, weigh all the facts, then pull the trigger. How did I do professor?
As a matter of fact, I have a few stickers coming. The one on my Major is in bad shape. Although, I probably won't replace them until they are totally worn off. A few wrinkles adds character, just look at me.
Excellent & congrats Johnny! That Duke 2 has almost identical specs as my new X2. I hope you're enjoying it as much as I am mine.
Glad you are enjoying the Duke, probably our best selling brush (aside the Chubby). The handle shape has been imitated or replicated many times by other manufacturers - a sure sign the original designer got it spot on.
Hey Johnny, if you don't mind me asking, what made you go with the Duke? I know you were looking at quite a few different ones before getting this one. (the reason I ask is I am planning on getting another Simpson brush in the next few months and am just fishing for info)
I do like John Wayne but that had nothing to do with it. Just talking with other folks about their different brush experiences and spending some time sharing email with Mark Watterson at Vulfix/Simpsons. I almost bought the Duke 3 but the size of the Duke 2 was more to my liking. I am very pleased with my choice as it is turning out to be my favorite brush. It works well with creams but it really shines with my MWF.
