Ask 9 guys what blade to use and you'll get 10 different answers. The best thing to do is get a sample pack. They're sold right here at our own TSD store. Also BullGoose, Shoebox Shave Shop, West Coast Shaving, many other places. Now once you get your blades, take one from each pack (leave the blade in the wrapper!), toss the single blades into a lunch bag, shake 'em up, reach in and grab one. Seriously. That's the one you start with. There is no "right" blade to use first, or any "best" order to use the samples in.
No, no, just the opposite. The longevity of a mental image of Rosie O'Donnell in a bikini is 3.5 microseconds then that section of your brain short circuits and is rendered useless!
Tried a Gillette 7 o'clock green label this morning and another great shave with only one small nick. I think i am starting to get the hang of this i just have to keep remembering nice and slow.
Just "do it"! Most people on these sites will tell you that they dislike one or another. That Feathers are the most aggressive? I buy by price. I don't see a Feather being worth 4or 5X a Derby! And there is a difference between the 1st shave with a blade and the 4th... Use a new one each time.
Grab a blade sampler pack from one of many vendors we have highlighted on here. I know if you click the "Store" button near the top of the page, it'll take you to The Shave Den store and JoAnna has an extremely attractive sampler pack put together. That is what most of us did, a blade sampler of some sort. Also, Walmart has Wilkinson Sword blades that work for some and not for all and most dollar stores have some too. I'd steer away from CVS and most grocery stores just because of the price, some of those places are asking ~$10 for a 10 pack of blades.......
I think it is a matter of picking sevreral different packs and try one brand each for a week or so and your face will tell you which is best for you.
