Absolutely cant wait til it comes in !!!! Iv watched so many videos of people shaving with this stuff its always had me stoked to try it...I know some dont like the smell but....to me its old school......and old school is what I love....not mention that thick lather that everyone whips up when I see em shave with it....anyone have any bad experiances with arko sticks? Or is it your favorite? Lemme know ...im super interested in what everyone has to say....I can honestly say iv never been this stoked over a shave soap...its kinda weird because I kinda hope I dont hype it up too much and then me end up not liking it.....oh well...im stoked ....I cant help it! Bahahaha come to papa Arko.....im waitin on ya!!!!!

I'm a fan of the Arko shave stick too. I prefer to smoosh it into a mug and load the brush that way.

Dollar for dollar it is one of the best values out there. The scent doesn't bother me at all, but it doesn't stick around too long either. If you leave it out for a while, it dissipates.

One of the easiest to lather soaps you can get. I like the smell of it myself.

Thanks, Dale. I have an Arko stick and was wondering if I needed to grate it or not. I prefer to smush into a bowl.

    You answered my question.

What if I put it in a shave stick tin? I have an old vintage shave stick tin I bought a while back would that help keep it fresh?

I agree, I don't really mind the scent either...

Then again I do enjoy the scent of Valobra so take it for what you will lol.

Arko's scent always reminded me of.... Arlington which reminds me of Williams. My nose must be shot, YMMV. I have 4 shave sticks in the house and 2 in the mail but no Arko at present. I'll revisit Arko again sometime.

If by Arlington you're referring to the Soap, then well imo most of Harris soaps smell like urinal cakes haha :scared007:

I enjoy everything about the Arko soap - the lather, the scent, and the way my face feels afterwards.

as far as the scent goes- let it air out for a week and it smell exactly like Ivory soap. performance - excellent, very easy to lather, very slick, seems to last a very long time. if I could only have 1 soap or cream arko would be it.

I'm with Jeff on this one.....on most ones actually...lol....
Arko Rocks!! nuthin' I can think of about it that I don't really dig. I've smooshed it in a bowl and loved bowl lathering....
I also rub a wet stick on my wet face so each whisker tears out a little ball of soap...Then hit it with a wet brush and it explodes...
I think the face lathering way the most because I hold the brush under steaming hot running water and then hit my face with it....The water is still hot that way...kind of like hot lather....;)
But either way its a fool-proof latherer.

You can order a stick from Joe at Shaveabuck for less than $2.00 a stick.

The arko stick is a very good soap. I keep mine in my travel kit, and it always performs. The smell seems to be hit or miss with most people, but the performance is awesome. It gives me a great shave.

How does everybody store their stick between shaves? Just wrap the foil back around? I used mine for the first time this morning and the foil stuck to the soap and ripped a lot. Does not cover it very well anymore. What kind of creative solutions have other more experienced members come up with for this?

As for the scent, I thought it was pretty good. Not very super strong, but it was there, it's hard to describe how it smells.

I find once opened the scent mellows and what great easy too lather soap.I use mine like a large crayon ,rip half the wrapper half off and peel more off as you need too.
