A fantastic and very cooling and enjoyable shave on a Bangladeshi note - the Kool Monsoon cream and the 7 AM blades come from Bangladesh, and the end of the shave was on a Hungarian note - the Barbon aftershave is from Hungary. Quite a cultural mix, wouldn't you agree?

2 passes with the 2 day old Rapira, which I hand stropped...Don't know, I'm not having much luck with the hand-stropping routine...Blade just didn't feel as good as the first shave. These Raps usually feel better the second day...
But anyway, after 2 passes a DFS...
A couple hours later I saw my face in a magnifying mirror by the front room window...Bright light...Saw 3 shiney silver whiskers...very short but just long enough to catch the light....Grabbed the Senator and dropped a new Perma-Sharp in there, did one WTG pass with just SC, and everything became a very polished 5 blade BBS...

3 Passes = Close Enough For The Boardroom

I decided to revisit some highly neglected gear today:
The RAB scuttle, I love warm lather, but after a few weeks of face lathering... I may be a convert, but I am not sure.
The Omega Boar deffo needs more break-in time.
The Fraser's is fantastic as always.
The Phyto ASB is one of my all time fave's, I do not use it much because it is not easily obtainable.
The Draggon Noir, what can I say... I totes dig the yellow Dial bar soap smell.
The injector G (handle by Rudy Vey) it is deffo not an R-41, but better than carts! Gimme back my R-41!

Another quick and smooth shave with basically the same setup as yesterday. For face lathering I think I prefer the small Vulfix brush. In the coming days I might try the Harris H3 brush for bowl lathering.
The M bomb delivered a very freezing sensation when I walked out of the door, finally it’s winter over here with -8 C and a very chilly dry wind.

Well I bought some witch hazel last night just to see how it worked...no comment yet. The shave was AMAZING! I was having a rather groggy morning and the Proraso took care of that in a welcomed way! I did 3 passes (remembering to apply the preshave before each pass) and to be perfectly honest, The outcome was a true BBS. The first time ever! I can't find one bit of stubble that was left behind. It wasn't what I was expecting, but I won't complain.

Happy GEMruary! A month of the Gems with the 27th being the centennial of the 1912 patent. The HFT performed flawlessly, much like its finish. The Williams provided a super slick surface which was perfect for me. Definitely not a thick lather today, but it certainly set the stage well for a splendid shave.

Overall, today's was an excellent shave. Much better than I was expecting originally. Usually the super sharp blades don't last much past 3 shaves, as most of my shaves are 3-4 passes. Todays being no exception of WTG, XTG, and 2 ATG. We'll have to see how it holds up for number 5!

It needs more break-in time, but it is softer than I expected. I traded it awhile back for an Omega chubby I had. I have been so caught up in the Vulfix 404 that I sort of forgot about the Omega.

My right hand was bothering a little this morning so I grabbed the big-handled Merkur and a fresh Astra blade and had a great shave! I used Booster Bay Rum in place of the witch hazel I usually use. The Master Topaz made for a wonderful finish!
