    Obsession For Men EDT

This shave was awesome in every aspect - smoothness, comfort, and enjoyment. The Godrej Menthol Mist cream lathers so well, smells nice, and gives a frigid and long-lasting menthol effect. A little of this Diana Sport balsam, and your face will need all day to thaw out! ;) :D

    С Днем Сурка!

Second shave using the Portman Square English Style Cream sample I received from Phil @ BullGoose.
This time I face lathered using my Ever Ready C40 and the results were very good! Lather was still not
really thick, but very acceptable with adequate cushion and really slick - very impressive laundry list of
quality ingredients in this "croap". The scent is growing on me, a little different than you would expect,
but nice & refreshing for a spring shave. Even though it was the fifth use on this blade, the slickness of
this cream (croap?) gave me a really great shave!
    Prep: Hot shower
Soap/cream: Portman Square English Style Cream - Orange Vetiver
    Brush: Ever Ready C40
Razor: Gillette Slim Adjustable I-2 birth year/quarter, (5)
    Blade: Lord Platinum (5)
    Cold water rinse
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    M&L Florida Water

    90% BBS, 10% DFS

Yesterday was a quick shave, this one was speed shaving: first pass WTG in short strokes, second pass WTG in long strokes, third pass somewhere between WTG and XTG in long strokes.
Result: DFS-- in 5 minutes. Do I like it? Not really, but let's blame the alarm clock .....
Today a package with 2 tubes of palmolive Menthol arrived, testdrive in 14 hours.

What do you think of the SS compared to your injector?

Well, I have always preferred the Schick Injectors over DE razors. I would compare the SS with my DE87 although I believe the SS is a little milder than the DE87.

    Omega 10029 Baby-Pro, boar
1952 Gillette Black Tip SS, steel
    Perma-Sharp Super D2
    Arko-New moisturizer/Rebul Lavanda Colonia

Man. I never used to like to hear people call the Super-Speeds mild shavers....Seems like 'mild' refers to a weakness....But I'll tell you...This SS is the mildest shaver I own, but still very capable of delivering a BBS in 3 passes...And It gives new meaning to the phrase, "It felt like there was no blade in the razor". And on the 3rd pass I was doing ATG razor buffing and still felt like -no blade...Ha,ha,ha...But the results were unequivicably BBS...;)

The 'Black Tip Beauty' ....and that grey deoderant stick now contains my Arko Shave Stick...

Today I wanted to try the Gem Micromatic again, though the blades come from the local hardware store. Should have known better. Although I like the weight and balance of the Gem, the blade was not up to par. Guess I'll have to order some real SE blades. ;)

    Set up:

    • Prep: hot water rinse, hor washcloth
    • Music: Philip Glass, Powaqqatsi (I've got the movie as well on DVD)
    • Soap: DVH
    • Brush: Wilkinson Sword badger / boar
    • Razor: Gem Micromatic
    • Blade: local hardware store
    • 3+ pass shave
    • Post: cold water (forgot the hot water)

Result: FS (no DFS, due to the crappy blade :scared001: )

    Have a great day!
