Tuesday Hot Shower(soak brush,Savile Row 3824) Proraso PrePost creme Proraso shaving cream Feather AS-D1/Polsilver (1) Cold Water Rinse Monster Alum(clean brush, razor, police area) Cold Water Rinse Proraso splash followed 20 minutes later with Proraso aftershave balm I had a great shave with the Feather and Polsilver combo.Very smooth and close,so smooth that I didn't get alum sting today, not even on my head. For those of you that headshave and don't mind a razor that's on the mild side, the Feather is hard to beat. There's a lil learning curve to get the right angle but once you do you'll get incredibly smooth shaves.I'll probably jinx myself but I've had the Feather now since the end of October and I've yet to get a head weeper or even a nick.My other razors have blessed my head with weepers
Tuesday Muhle R106 The Colonel Gillette Spoiler - 4 Proraso Green Soap Proraso ASB It was a wonderful shave this morning. I really enjoy the menthol in the Proraso. It was just my standard two pass shave for during the week and as usual of resulted in a DFS! Although I am sad to say that it was the final use for my ASB...looks like I will be breaking out the new one in my closet.
You need to get you some of the Proraso After Shave Splash. Apply it first for that wake-me-up in the morning, then about 15 minutes later apply the ASB.
Tuesday Hot Shower Green Marvy Mug Omega Pro Boar TRSC Moisturizing SC Lady Gillette Stars - Dark Blue Feather (3) Cool Water Rinse TRSC Soothing ASB Lolita Lempicka Perfume Loving on my Ladies, they are giving really good shaves with the Feather blade. Hands down this is one of my favorite ASB, especially this time of year when it is so dry in FL. Now, I am off to an appointment and then to work. Gotta collect that plasma so we can keep saving lives! Have a fantastic day!
I'll try that! I have the splash right beside the balm, but I only ever feel a small cool sensation, but then again I apply it right after my cold water splash.
Cold water splash/rinse, pat dry face with towel, and put a palm full of splash on. Rub it in good. Stepping outside in the 7 degree weather helps to.
Tuesday Razor: Merkur Futur Blade: Shark Brush: Omega boar Soap: Tabac Toner: witch hazel A/S: English Leather Great shave to start my Tuesday. I got the English Leather over the weekend and this is the first time I've used it in years. My opinion of it? It's good stuff!
I get a better headshave with the Feather AS-D1 then I do faceshave. Always BBS headshave. Not some much with the face yet but I'm working on it. My beard grows in so many different directions its tuff to get a BBS on the face but as I said its getting there.
Any way to replicate your head shaving technique to your face? If you're getting a good shave on the dome, be nice to find what you're doing there and see if you can apply it to the beard.
Tuesdays shave pre shave was a nice hot shower followed by some Proraso pre shave Feather AS-D1 with Feather yellow RR xxx bowl lathered Omega badger Cold water rinse, cleaned everything up( when I wet shave I really moisturize... the entire bathroom) RR alum Another cold water rinse (and bathroom dry) Proraso ASB Went for a 3 passer this morning just to change things up a bit. So I bowl lathered the RRxxx. (usually I prefer to face lather but every now and then....) As always the RR lathered up to a rich, thick creamy lather. Did a WTG, XTG then a ATG. DFS smooth and pretty clean.
dome coat is softer and MUCH less coarse. I aint kidding ya, I can sand a 2x4 smooth with my stubble . Like I said my beard grain goes in so many different directions its tuff to get a true BBS. But me and the feather are working together on the problem. So far the best and closest to a BBS shave was when I was'nt using any lather at all. Just Proraso pre-shave and getting some soap on my fingers and smearing it on my stubble. I'm really gonna have to look into trying some RR shave oil. Maybe I'm getting the lather to thick.
Tuesday: Barbasol Prep Dovo Natural The Dridecker Mystic Men Rose Geranium Alum Block Witch Hazel Afta Fresh Balm Tabac After Shave
Just resized it, adjusted the light a little, and made a slight adjustment on the sharpness. I'm not that good either as all of my pics are taken with a cheap cellphone camera. Some of these guys have nice cameras, use tripods and turn out some magizine quality pictures.
Valentine's Day! Prep: Hot shower Soap/cream: Portman Square English Style Cream - Gin & Tonic Brush: Ever-Ready C40 Razor: Gillette Slim Adjustable I-2 birth year/quarter, (5) Blade: Super-Max SS (3) Cold water rinse Dickinson's Witch Hazel M&L Florida Water This morning was the first use of the Portman Square English Style Cream, in the Gin & Tonic scent that I received from Phil @ BullGoose. After trying the other two scents of this "croap", I'm really getting the hang of getting a good lather from it! Face lathering with a soft brush (my Ever-Ready C40 is the softest I have) seems to be the way to go, and while it doesn't provide luxurious lather, it's still good. But this cream really shines when it comes to slickness - wow! Touch-up was a breeze after my 3 pass shave, due to my face being really slick afterwards - and rinsing was quick, too. The Gin & Tonic scent is great - you can really discern the juniper/citrus in it! It felt a little "hot" on my face, though it didn't leave any lasting signs of irritation. For me, the Tropical Coconut scent that I tried last week is a better match for my skin type, but YMMV... Overall, the best shave I've had in a while - and the Florida Water was a great way to top it off! 85% BBS, 15% DFS
Tuesday morning, February 14, 2012 Schick E2 Injector Razor w/ Personna blade (2) Omega 10066 boar bristle brush, MWF shaving soap w/ warm water lather, finish w/ cold water rinse for a DFS! The Personna blade is nice and sharp!
