Wednesday 15th February Shower and Facial Scrub Proraso White Preshave cream Revisor 4/8 Razor Frank Shaving Berwick in Finest Godrej Lime Fresh Shave Cream Lucky Tiger AS/Toner 47111 Cologne Has turned into a busy day off work.......I unexpectedly will be visiting my son in Coventry. Started the day with a slow relaxing shave. Three passes gave a BBS and I got a chance to try Lucky Tiger AS, which arrived from Amazon this morning. So far it feels like great skincare, and it drys down beautifully to a great finish
Wednesday Gillette Black Handle The Colonel Lab Blue DVH Proraso ASB I opened the DVH just to see what it was like. (Yes I caved...it was worth it) The first thing that I noticed was the scent. I LOVE IT! I can't explain it...I just really like it. It whipped up some really slick lather that reminded me of MdC in look (not performance ) The lab blue blade was smooth most of the time...I just don't think these blades like me very much though! Nonetheless it was a good shave!
Wednesday Hot Shower(soak brush,Semogue 620) Proraso PrePost creme Speick shave stick ikon OSS/Gillette 7 O'Clock Black (4) Cold Water Rinse Monster Block Alum(clean brush, razor, police area) Cold Water Rinse Speick splash mixed with a pea sized amount of 444 I tried the open comb side of the ikon on my dome for the first time today and had a great smooth shave,BBS all around.I'm really loving those Black Ninjas, the smoothest blades I've tried to date.
I know right! When I was going with the no lather I missed lathering it just didnt seem right. I have mapped my grain direction. Side burn areas grow down, neck grows up toward my jaw,jaw line grows back toward my ears, mustache and gote area grows down until just past my chin then grows to the left with a swirl in there some where. My jaw line seems to be the toughest spots for some reason. I'm working on it and it just seems better with a no lather or atleast very thin/watered down coating of shave soap works best. I'm going to look around for some shave gels/oils when my stash of shave soaps start getting low.
Wednesday A Tabac day as you can see, Razor is a Krop 6/8 & the brush is a Vie Long horse/badger mix. The result a great shave.

Wednesday, February 15 EJ DE86 Gillette Super Thin Platinum (d3) Renaissance Man Black Amber S/S Vulfix 404 Grosvenor Master Topaz Result: DFS This blade was outstanding on day 2 (yesterday), but seemed rough on day one and tugged badly today on day 3. Will try it later, and perhaps in some other razors. Now I understand why many reviews are mixed on this blade.
Wednesday February 15th Prep: TSD ISZ pre-shave balm and a hot shower Soap: TSD Gucci Pour Homme Type Brush: AOS Ivory Fine Badger Razor: Merkur 39C Sledghammer Blade: Super Iridium Post shave: Cold water rinse, Alum block, cold water rinse, witch hazel A/S: Clubman Vanilla Moisturizer: L'Oreal Men's Expert Vita Lift w/ SFP 15 An absolutely wonderful shave this morning. Lemme think. First and foremost I like 'em all! But I I have to name a favourite, I guess it has to be Talking Loud And Clear. Are you into electronic music? Kraftwerk, Tomita, Tangerine Dream, Vangelis?
Yes, but of the dance variety meaning Depeche Mode, New Order and other New Wave music and I like the modern ones too Daft Punk, Sander Kleinenberg, Markus Schulz etc, etc.
Wednesday: Barbasol Prep Dovo Natural EJ Best Cella Alum Block Witch Hazel Afta Fresh Balm Old Spice After Shave
Wednesday! First shave with my Britisch Gillette Flare Tip which came in yesterday. Almost couln't wait. Setup: Prep: hot water rinse, hot washing cloth Music: The Sammy Rimington Band (New Orleans Jazz saxophonist / klarinettist / traverse flutist) Brush: WS badger / boar Soap: TSD Signature + ... read on! Razor: Gillette Flare Tip Rocket Blade: new Derby blade 3-pass shave + thouch up + ... read on! Post: TSD Witch Hazel I was planning to mug lather (I absolutely love a warm lather, feels so luxury ) and took out the mug... and completely forgot about it. Just started face lathering. Oh well. The flare tip is a joy to use! It felt very mild, but the stubbles were whisked away effortlessly. Came close to BBS. Only to discover after breakfast that I completely missed a spot below my chin! LOL Anyway, back to the bathroom, hot water, a dash of TSD Wheat cream (quicker than soap in this case: just rub it in! ) and touch up, phase 2! LOL But the result is great all the same. DFS ++ over all - eventually . Have a great day all!
I was wrong. I believe that could be a three or four generation gap. If you know who sing Moon River, we are on the same page.
